The second problem is the shelving makes it impossible to place certain size bottles on the top shelf and reorganizing the shelving will only cause other problems. As a long time customer of GE products, I was disappointed with this GE refrigerator.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Schmilly from Very Good Apartment Sized Refrigerator This is not a fridge for a family but is more an apartment sized fridge. Shelves are adjustable but a little difficult to move. Doors must be capable of fully opening in order to pull out the shelves. Should include a slim tool for the stabilizing feet since an offset wrench doesn't fit when it's on the rollers. Freezer shelf allows for two positions. Only annoying thing is that there is a protective plastic wrap on the chrome doors that is difficult to fully remove.

I got two new GE Refridgerators, both with in the last month , one is a smaller one and is about 15 cubic feet. second is biggest one they make in that style. I like that the drawers and shelves are see through the bottom drawer also there is two different drawers with settings, very spacious in the way it is set up. And one thing that sold me on it besides that they are energy efficient; the door set up I like how the door shelves there deep and easy to clean. They come off very easy to disassemble them and rearrange. Long story short , I love my new ge appliances.

The freezer area is much larger than the one it replaced and the door shelves are much deeper as well. We can really load this up. Beautiful stainless steel, it's magnificent just to look at. We seem to be able to run this one at quite a lower setting than our last (perhaps due to much more advanced tech.) and everything is kept just as well or better. Less electricity that's for sure than the guzzler we had.

It keeps everything the perfect temperature all with the use of one knob. The quality of the doors is impressive. The doors are 3 inches thick and seal great. On a side note my daughter now drinks more milk because of how cold they are. Good things do come in small packages.

My only wish is that the manual went into more depth about how the refrigerator operates. One example is that it goes into defrost mode every 8-12 hours. I did not know that and thought something was wrong with my refrigerator. I opened the door to get ice and the temperature showed 45 degrees.

Big enough for two people. I like that it's GE because I trust it over the old unknown brand. Simple enough, the doors can be adjusted to swing either way when you first install it. Pretty quiet.

It should have come with at least two ice trays but there were none. I like the door as a gallon size milk fits there. It is a small fridge, but keeps things cold and suits mt needs well. I like it a lot!

To keep our refrigerator at 40 degrees, the freezer temp goes down to 0 degrees. Now we have freezer burn on our frozen food. We wish this was pointed out to us when we purchased it.

In addition, the bottom will often freeze items while the freezer is not cold enough. I wish there were 2 control panels.

It was hard finding a good fridge in the smaller size that I needed. It does make some weird noises though.. It seems to groan a off and on throught the day.

However, I expect it to be a crackerjack product or I would not have chosen it. So far, it got cold quick and appears to meet my expectations for roominess and layout. But I am compelled (out of frustration ) to comment on startup. I spent over 2 hours trying to get the confounded blue protective wrap off and still was unable to get it all off. I have it sticking out in small quantities on various edges. I admit it was not scratched or blemished in any way, no doubt owing somewhat to the wrapping. But it seemed to be boxed pretty securely as well, so I'm not sure the wrapping need be 'homeland security grade' attached. There must be some trick to removable, but I didn't get the memo.......

Since installation, it has run quietly and up to par. Took 20 hours from delivery to get the refrigerator to reach temperature, 40. However the freezer made ice cubes in four hours. Having the refrigerator leveled and secure, my only complaint is that the door slams louder than previous model, Freezer door is fine. Is there an energy efficient light bulb, i.e. LED , available ?

Because of the existing space for a fridge in our kitchen, this fridge was one of a limited selection that would fit. There are several features of this refrigerator that are disappointing. Even though the exterior dimensions are similar are to our old fridge, the interior is significantly smaller. The freezer section is larger, but clearly at the expense of the refrigerated section, which also means you have to duck down to look onto the top shelf of the fridge section. The drawers are terribly small, and the door has to be opened very wide (well beyond 90 degrees) in order to pull out the drawer closest to the door hinge, without the door blocking the drawer. The interior has an awful plastic smell, which is slowly dissipating. The stainless steel exterior is only on the front, so the sides and top are an ugly, cheap brown. The shelves are limited to a few slots for repositioning. We find that we are constantly shuffling contents around to make things fit. Lastly, this fridge is louder than our 20yr old fridge, and seems to run more frequently. I can only hope it is more efficient.

I really did not want to buy another "oversized" refrigerator/freezer but, at the same time, I was worried that I might regret purchasing one that is too small. That is not an issue with this refrigerator/freezer! Don't let the measurements and capacity mislead you; this is a very efficiently designed and organized unit. I cannot believe how much this unit holds. I can actually store more in this unit than I could in the big refrigerator it replaced! It runs very quiet and keeps the temperatures stable. It does not have an automatic icemaker, yet it makes ice in one-third the time that my old unit did with an icemaker! It is a very solidly built appliance and you can tell that the assembly workers take pride in their work.

The refrigerator has ample storage space, although I wish the light bulb was a little higher up as it takes away room from storing things such as tall bottles, etc. The energy efficiency is great and it keeps food nice and cool. The freezer is excellent. Freezes well with no ice build up. The bottom drawers could have been a little roomier, but they keep products at a desirable temperature. Overall, I'm happy with the unit. I would recommend it.
