This dishwasher is the cheapest, junkiest most plasticky thing I have ever seen. There is no metal, the door feels like a toy, the dishracks are junk, the wheels are plastic junk, everything about this dishwasher is terrible.
Mine broke while brand new, has not run a single load. GE told me they would have a tech the next day. The tech called me two hours later, told me GE customer service is smoking crack, it's two weeks. Brand new house, brand new dishwasher and it has never worked. Now I have to wait 2 weeks for some idiot to come out and tell me it needs to be replaced by another pile of cheap, Chinese plastic junk

Cleans well, easy to operate
I love our new dishwasher. It really cleans well, and is quiet when cleaning. Controls are easy to understand. Two problems I’m having with though. 1. It has had a funky smell emitting whenever I open it up to load or unload dishes. I was hoping it was just the initial smell of a new appliance, but we’ve had it since mid-August and it still has an odor. 2. I took out the screen and food trap to clean it (thinking that this may be the reason for the smell, but no…), and it was filled with gunk. The thing that bothers me the most is that the area that the filter is in, is still filled with water, which never seems to drain out. Is this normal???

Getting use to new Technology
This is the first replacement washer since we purchased a GE washer back when we bought our condo in1999. I do have to say being only a couple of weeks into it the strange noises these new machines make are a little getting used to. The washes take longer and you are not able to follow along with the washer to know where in the process the washer is. You just have lights to look at only they change once they move to another cycle. I do like the fact I have a water sensor that knows how much water to use. I'm happy at this point and I think it is more me getting used to the new technology. I just hope I get the same longevity as I did with my last GE washer.

It's just a dishwasher
As a disclaimer, I did not purchase this dishwasher myself, it came brand new preinstalled in the home my wife and I bought. First thing we noticed with this dishwasher is that it is louder than older ones that we had owned. Second, there is always an LED light on regardless if it is washing or not. Third, the washing cycles take much longer than expected. The regular wash takes almost 2-hours (not including drying), and the 1-hour wash takes around an 1-1/2 hours to finish. I will say that this dishwasher does wash the dishes extremely well given the fact that it takes so long. I would not get this dishwasher again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.

Solid and Robust Unit With Easy to Use Controls!
This is a great unit that can easily handle the dishes from my four kids. It's also simple enough for all members in the family to use. I especially like the silverware container and how it's located off to the side of the lower tray. That makes it easier to fit larger items in the lower portion of the washer. I am also impressed with the main door seal. The last dishwasher that I had (non-GE) leaked quite a bit and it was a huge inconvenience. This GE unit hasn't leaked once and it's a huge relief. I did lots of research before purchasing this unit, and it's the best value for your money.

This is a HORRIBLE DISHWASHER. We've had it for 2 days. We are renters and the landlords chose this one to replace a high quality GE that died after 12yrs. THIS one pumps in water for about 15 secs and stops for 15, repeat, repeat, repeat etc. The spray arms spray for 15sec and stop for 15, spray for 15, stop for 15, repeat repeat repeat repeat for the duration. The water is pumped out in spurts of 15sec, off for 15, pumping out for 15, stop for 15...it is MADDENING. Surely we have a defective machine? I cannot imagine that this would be a purposeful engineering design. I don't even care that the dishes are clean at the end because the process is so annoying.

Dishwasher
This dishwasher came with my new construction home. I had a very nice Kitchen Aid in my previous home which was so quiet. This dishwasher is very loud and has no sound barrier around the housing. It cleans the dishes well. We have been in our new house 6 months and the dishwasher has apparently had a small imperceptible leak for some time. Last week the leak sent a large amount of water onto my laminate floor which is now warping. I have arranged for GE repair service which was easy online. It’s very disturbing to have a new house with a broken dishwasher which has warped my floor.
