Rated 3 out of 5 by unhappy10k from second one looks a return as well I bought this range early September. Had to wait a few weeks for delivery. The inside of the oven was covered in thick dust on one side. It was grimy outside (black sticky stuff all around the glass top and several other places, that was impossible to remove). It had obviously been returned (paperwork torn and just thrown in). I did not trust it because of this, and asked for a replacement. I received the replacement in an old garbage looking box, and the range had a dent on one side. Many parts of the protective film were torn off. Obviously another return.I decided to keep this one, but I will never again buy a GE product for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IchabodCrayne from Everything I was looking for. This review is largely based on first impressions as it's only 3 days old. I purchased this stove to replace a brand new Whirlpool I was sorely dissatisfied with. I used The Brick's satisfaction guarantee to send it back and buy this GE model. This range is very well put together with no cosmetic/mechanical defects. The back and side panels are well fitted, the warming drawer has sturdy, smooth moving ball bearing slides. Oven racks are porcelain coated. Top glass surface runs edge to edge making it easier to clean as there's no gap to catch soil and cleaning product. There is a visible pattern in the glass that helps hide minor smudges so it looks clean longer than an all black top. Controls are intuitive and easy to use. Multi-size elements are a nice touch and the largest will easily handle big stock/canning pots. One of my favorite features is the little "window" in front of cooktop that shows a red light indicating exactly which element is on/hot in addition to control pad warn light. The only downside for me is that with the warming drawer there is a bottom plate under it so pulling the drawer out to clean under unit won't work. If your home is prone to "ghost turds" as mine is, the stove will need to be slid out to clean underneath. My recent experience with other brands and comparison shopping has shown this appliance to be at the top of it's class.
