Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great oven, WHEN it works The range is about 8 months old. The top burners work great. The oven, convection function all work great the the oven heats properly. I hear the gas come on and the it attempts to ignite, if it does, all is well, but about one third of the time it fails to ignite. It can take an hour or longer before the oven finally starts, or it indicates that it has pre-heated but afterward the oven stops heating and the oven goes cold. At this point I'm thinking it needs to be replaced. Sadly, I cannot depend on it to cook a meal in a reasonable amount of time. I would rate this 4-5 stars if I could depend on the oven functioning properly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Range review We bought this range to go with the other KitchenAid appliances we put in our new home. We wanted them to match, the reviews and research said they were good. I've had good luck with my mixer and other small appliances in the past. The pro's of this range: the stainless top...now we can scrub it without damaging any porcelain pieces. The grill top is heavy and sturdy. The cons- it cooks way too hot, so every burner we use on Low, unless we are trying to boil something in a large pot quickly. And the unit itself gets hot to the touch. We have older kids, so this isn't as big of a safety concern for us since they know better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good addition! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had the range a couple weeks and so far so good. I'd like to have one of the large burners to the back rather than both up front, the storage drawer doesn't hold much and is whimpy. The griddle is new to us but worked fine our first try. The burners come on quickly and heat more evenly than our last KA which I love. I haven't baked enough in the oven to give a good review so I'm hopeful it's accurate. The cooking surface doesn't clean up as easily as I had hoped nor look nice even using the recommended product. The grates aren't has beefy as the other but like that they hook together for a more stable cooking area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the look! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Stove is fantastic! Never knew how a real stove should cook until I bought this one. Have used it since Christmas and once I adjusted the oven up and learned my way around the burners thing are going great. Only difficult problem is the simmer burners are in the back and I am short. More a design problem on my part than the stove! And I think KitchenAid should design a hinge for the top grates! Being short, there is that problem again, if you lift them up for a quick clean they scratch the back of the stove and they are very heavy to lift off after ever time you use the stove top.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Major Rip Off [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this stove 2 1/2 months ago. Tried to clean it after 2 weeks of minimal oven use with the AquaLift Self Cleaning technology (2 cycles) and it was completely useless. KitchenAid should reimburse all their customers for the misrepresentation of their self cleaning technology. Additionally the oven temperature needed to be adjusted 2 times by technicians, the stove top is impossible to clean after normal cooking, and one burner turns itself off at the lowest simmer setting, however the gas stays on. I will be getting rid of it immediately. I am so disappointed in kitchen aid. I have had previous kitchen aid appliance and bought this stove on their reputation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible design Only someone who does not cook could design such a beast: * anyone who cooks regularly knows that you have to remove the grates to clean the stove top underneath. * the big grates across the top are very heavy. So...every two days or so, you have to lift ALL the grates and transfer them elsewhere in order to clean the stove top. NOT a pleasant task. It was a lot easier with the old style, where you could take off one grate at a time. These things won't even fit into a sink when they themselves need cleaning. * Even when you are using only one burner, the big grate covers two burners, so it heats up more and sends more heat into the kitchen.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY THIS RANGE We bought a new house that came equipped with this range. We felt so lucky to have the, "Cadillac" of appliances, boy were we wrong. Unless you exclusively boil water, this range is useless. None of the burners simmer !! KitchenAID what were you thinking ? Forget making sauce, soups ANYTHING thats requires you to simmer. Heck I'd even be happy with low but it doesn't do either. !!! This range should have never been released for purchase. It's like selling a car with one gear. This thing is being replaced as soon as we can afford it. Shame on you KitchenAid !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So glad I went with KitchenAid! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was time to upgrade the old stove in my new home and I knew I wanted to go from electric to gas. I do a lot of cooking and baking so needless to say I did tons of research before buying this stove. I ultimately decided the KitchenAid had everything I was looking for. I was nervous as it’s such a big purchase but I couldn’t be happier with my stove! Can’t believe I cooked without gas for so long. The stovetop works perfectly and the oven is huge! The convection bake/roast has been impeccable. Just an overall amazing stove and amazing performance.
