Rated 1 out of 5 by from Install issues I am a appliance installer, I had the chance to install this range. I was unable to do so due to the poor design of the venting system The Fan is so large there is limited space to vent the unit down. My situation had a floor joist in the area the vent pipe needed to be placed. It has always been difficult to get a dual fuel range to sit flush against the wall due to gas and electric lines obstructing the range from sliding completly back, Now you add a poorly designed venting system, that will also cause issues to slide the range all the way to the wall. Has any of your designers ever installed one of these ranges in a real life situation?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from How do you clean the ENTIRE INSIDE of the oven? This range replaced my JennAire range. I have had it less than one year. This was the only option with a downdraft. After cooking two turkeys for Thanksgiving it needed cleaned. The AquaLift technology only cleans the BOTTOM OF THE OVEN!!! What about the rest of the oven and the racks? The cleaning instructions say to not use oven cleaners!!! The store technician advised Dawn dish washing liquid and a soft sponge. I have spent hours on the floor bending around the door wiping!! This is not self cleaning at all!! Service of a product is just as important as the product. I would never recommend this range.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from KitchenAid 30inch Slide In Dual Fuel Range Great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a COVID19 delay, our dual fuel downdraft range was delivered, replacing an older JennAir electric downdraft. The large burners brings water to a boil super fast. It's been a nice change from the electric only range. The large oven door and the bright lighting makes keeping a watch easy. Still learning the convection feature. While the oven takes longer than the previous oven to warm up, it is excellent at holding the temperature. Baked good come out perfect. Overall quite satisfied with the purchase and look forward to years of trouble free service and great food.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Questionable Burner Effectiveness [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I regret purchasing this type of stove with its respective shortcomings. The front burners put out a tremendous amount of flame and BTU's; however, one cannot turn them down to a low setting to simmer something that's hot. If one uses the downdraft feature, even at low, so much heat is shunted out the vent that it barely is effective. In addition, it is so noisy that a conversation is difficult. If one uses the rear burners with the downdraft feature activated, the cooking time is multiplied to many times as long as a normal cooking time would take, effectively making them useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great range! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old thermador downdraft died a month after we moved into "new" house....so, replacing it was very difficult and downdraft are rare to find. Only two companies, I believe, make them now. So, limited choices. It would have required a major remodel to use a regular range. So, our warranty actually bought the KitchAid..but we had about 1500 out of pocket for modifications. To the range....looks terrific...very professional and solid. Looks expensive (it was!). Works great. So, no frills on these...no built in airfryer for example. But quality shows...my only qualm is that the stainless steel scratches easily.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great appliance The only reason that I didn't give this all five stars is because of the difficulty in installation. I was hoping that this unit would fit in the same space as my old Jenn Aire downdraft. Unfortunately, it did not and the new cabinetry had to be rearranged to accommodate the new unit so that I could use the existing plenum system. Also, the old Jenn Aire system used a 6" exhaust whereas the new KitchenAid uses a 5" that has to be phased into the 6" system under the floor. Seems they could have stayed with the old system. That being said, I am very happy with the performance and appearance of my new purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Griddle is not as ggod as as it could be We have had this a few weeks now. It replaced an older JennAir downdraft modular range. The oven works well, and the stove top works for most conventional applications. We use the griddle for cooking bacon and pancakes on weekends, but it is quite inadequate. It is very small so I can only fit half as much on it as I could with my old JennAir (so it takes twice as long to cook). The griddle uses heat from two burners but since the back burners are smaller, I need to use different settings on each burner to get even heat. The small burner on the left side is too small to boil water so I believe it is only intended as a 'keep warm' item.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good range [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been very happy with this stove, which we bought last August 2021, and have been using routinely for our meals. The burners take a while to get used to because of the different circumferences, and it might be good to have some guidance on what meals work best on which burner. The guidance for the stove is a little hard to read, and some YouTube videos would help to show how to use the features. We have been delighted roasting, broiling and using the convection feature, seeing how moist different meals have emerged from the oven. There are many features that we have yet to use and will explore over time.
