Rated 3 out of 5 by Todd from Small pots won't work I've been cooking on this cooktop for about 2 years now. I picked up a fairly inexpensive set of pans when I got it and never had a problem. I recently decided to upgrade my pans to non-stick. I bought the Cuisinart set that came with a 8" skillet and a 1 qt. pot neither of which worked. After going back and forth with Cuisinart and getting nowhere, I bought a set of All-Clad. This set came with a 2 qt. pot that won't work with the cooktop. I have since found several reviews stating the same problem with this cooktop. Sure would be nice if the Kitchen-Aide team could come up with a solution. Yes, I would recommend this cooktop to a friend, but with reservations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by brumoe from Great cooking [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 36-inch induction cooktop as a surprise for my wife. Four cups of water come to rapid boil in 90 seconds. Who says a watched pot doesn't boil? What we like is that cooking is speeded up, and unless you touch the pot/pan you can't get burned. We are confident our grandsons are safer in that respect. We are on a learning curve but love what we have been able to do thus far. The only issue is that the quart pan is to small to be affected by the mechanism behind induction cooking. The element areas are larger in circumference than the quart pan requires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PMac from A Sleek, Stylish, Performer We recently did a complete kitchen reno and went with all KitchenAid appliances. We have never had an induction cooktop but we love it. Aside from the sleek and stylish look it presents, it performs extremely well. Boiling water in a minute using the Boost feature. Excellent fried eggs. Incredible heat control. The timer can be set for a single burner to shut off when set. It's extremely easy to clean. The large center element is large enough to handle even our 10 qt. pot. We purchased the Emeril by All-Clad E914SC PRO-CLAD Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Dishwasher Safe PFOA Free 12 piece Cookware Set and it performs very well on this cooktop.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Tanya WS from Love, but our glass just cracked tonight We bought this cooktop in 2017. Converted from gas to electric and have LOVED it. Love everything about it, friends and family love it as well. But tonight we cooked dinner just like every night. Turned off the burner and removed pan from the heat and we heard this pop noise. I quickly asked the kids what they did-in the living room. We were searching around to see what we heard. Then as we went to wipe down the cooktop, like we always do we do, we saw and felt the crack. Kitchenaid what do we do? If it did not crack tonight would have given 5 stars. Will let everyone know what Kitchenaid does.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jwebdy from Love this cook top (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) We thought we wanted gas but with you g kids building our dream kitchen changed slightly. However I have no regrets buying this cooktop. Nothing burns on to it like electric cook tops. I don’t have to remove grills and clean little parts like I would if I had gas and my kids can’t turn it on if it’s locked. But even if they do it won’t do anything unless there is a pot on the cooktop. This gives us peace of mind! Now as for cooking I have no regrets getting this over gas. It heats up so quickly. We love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathy1026 from Upgraded from radiant cooktop. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our one-year-old KitchenAid radiant cooktop was recalled. I was torn between choosing to replace the recalled unit with another radiant cooktop with knobs or this induction cooktop because I did not want to have to get all new cookware. I am so happy that I decided to get the induction cooktop! The touch-sensitive controls works like a charm and this cooktop cooks as fast as gas. Since the cooktop does not get very hot, it is much easier to clean than the radiant cooktop. I highly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Polly B from Love it! It does everything an induction cooktop should do and does it well. Boils water in a snap, cools instantly, maintains its temperature when cooking. My only complaints are these: it beeps at you if you (1) leave a pot, utensil or other item on top of it after you turn off the heat; (2) if you lift your pot off the heating element, for example, to toss mushrooms during cooking; and (3) after you turn it off, I guess to remind you it's still hot. So it has a personality, which is something new for me. I am not used to appliances beeping at me except to tell me the timer I set is done. Other than that, it's a great product. Also very easy to clean the glass cooktop.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Culbles from Not the best thing ever We furnished our new home with all KitchenAid products because we have had good results with our other KitchenAid products. However, our new 36" induction cook top has failed to live up to expectations. It is now four months old and has had several malfunctions but has been usable. Service has been a problem. Also, we planned on using the Bridge function which now we can not use because no one makes a grill/griddle for the induction top. We can find cast iron grill/griddles but they are heavy and course and will scratch the glass top so we will not use them. One reviewer stated that the induction will boil water fast. Well try to boil two pans of water and the cook top may quit on you. Disappointed with cook top, accessories and service.
