Protect your cabinets from grease (and your nostrils from lingering odours) with the help of this KitchenAid retractable downdraft vent. This vent is able to rise to a height of 14 inches, which allows it to sweep away steam even from tall stockpots, then it sinks down to be flush with the cooking surface when it's not needed.

- 600 CFM Pro motor is powerful enough to effectively vent steam, grease, and odours for most cooktops and ranges
- Features a 65K BTU threshold so it's compatible with most 36- or 30-inch cooktops, including some commercial-style models
- The retractable downdraft design allows the vent to rise up when it's needed (to a height of 14 inches so it works even for tall stockpots) and then retract down to be flush with the cooking surface when you're done
- The retractable design provides space for grease to collect, making it easier to clean
- The motor box is reversible so it can be installed on either side of the downdraft, giving you the versatility to free up space beneath the cooking surface
