Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Peasy! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been spiralizing vegetables for several years....by hand, using a hand crank plastic machine that would never stay suction-cupped to my counter, so it was always a battle. But, when you can't eat pasta and you're supposed to be heavy on the vegetables in your diet, you put up with it! That is, until someone gifts you a gift card and you know IMMEDIATELY what you are going to purchase--the spiralizer attachment for your Kitchen Aid mixer! I'm in spiralizing heaven. What a joy to simply attach the vegetable, turn on the machine and voila!, perfectly spiralized with minimal effort. A+

Rated 1 out of 5 by from works (worked) great but didnt last. I bought this 14 months ago for the last apple season. sliced about 100 apples for drying. It worked wonderfully. Best kitchen aid device I ever bought... until today. The blades are too dull to work properly. The shaft is slightly bent so the blade doesn't move down the apple to properly slice it. Worst of all the spiralizer has a tendency to work loose from the mixer and move around. This has walled out the cut out on my kitchen aid pro mixer, It seems that every part of this device that has been used to slice 100 or so apples is worn to the point of not working anymore. It did have a very nice box though. Once again it worked wonderfully last year but has not held up. This is the only attachment ( out of many many many) that has failed on me

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's Okay. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Once it gets things peeled it does work good as an attachment but the peeling process is less than impressive, considering that not all potatoes and other vegetables and fruits are the same size if it's not perfectly sized then it has trouble peeling or over peels in spots. So I gave it a 3-star rating because it does spiralize to an extent but the peeling process is pretty poor quality. Keep in mind majority of our appliances in our house are KitchenAid but this one was pretty disappointing

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Struggling with the Spiralizer I currently have a Paderno Spiralizer Pro and bought the KA Spiralizer attachment, when I purchased my stand mixer. It is a struggle to work with most vegetable/fruits. I tried zucchini, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, you name it. The blade will make a clicking noise as I spiralize. Then veg gets crushed on the skewer.End result is a lot of waste. The Paderno, hand operated handles so much better. It is much lighter and handles the hard veggies well, with minimal waste. Kitchen Aid any suggestions? I think the issue is the skewer. KA needs different sized skewers for this too work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from did not work well [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried to make noodles with zucchini and yellow squash with no success. Forget about the mess with beets. If the vegetable is not perfect, hardily any skin is cut off. Very disappointed. I have the original metal accessories from my first Kitchen Aid purchased in 1960 and the blades are still sharp after all these years. In the 60's and 70's I canned vegetables with the big hopper and have used the little one for grinding and chopping nuts all these years. I wore out my old mixer and purchased a 5 qt so I could make bread. I love my machine and its too bad the spiralizer did not help me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I'm so sorry to report this but I was really disappointed and returned the spiralizer. I was so excited to order this product. My sister has a cheap plastic version and I thought -- great, KitchenAid quality, plug it into my existing and much-used stand mixer and voila! Sadly, it was a disaster -- I tried apples, sweet potato, and celery root. At best, it peeled and spiralized for about 1/4 of the item before it just spun and became mushy. I did everything. I rotated the item. I tried "helping it" and finally gave up and returned it. If you asked me to recommend my stand mixer -- I would say 5 stars. This item was a surprising disappointment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even My Husband Loves The Results from the Spiralizer! I recently purchased a KitchenAid Mixer and decided to add a spiralizer to the purchase. I bake often, but find I use the spiralizer more than the actual mixer. What a wonderful attachment for someone who enjoys vegetables, but tires of the same old plain way I have fixed them for 51+ years of marriage. My husband's favorite are the thinly spiralized potatoes. The extra end piece looks like a mushroom and can be baked along with the thinner spiral pieces. The zucchini noodles, microwaved for 1.25 minutes, are perfect. I've added pesto and tomatoes to the noodles, and as a side dish, it is my favorite. You can easily experiment and find the right choices for blade thickness for you. It's a fun addition to my kitchen equipment, and friends have enjoyed watching me use it and also like my enthusiasm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loved it the first time, but now useless.... We had a manual spiralizer that was so cumbersome to clean, so when I saw this attachment on a tv commercial I just had to have it! The first time I used it it was great, spiralized a couple zucchinis no issues, easy peasy....then the next time I took it out to use for an apple (this time trying out the peeler attachment) the darn peeler attachment would not stay in place and fell out (would not click in securely) AND the spike you put the veggies/fruit on cracked and now we cannot use the attachment at all! Totally worthless. It was a great idea, but the quality of the actual pieces is AWFUL and broke the second time it was used! I am beyond upset that I would have to purchase a whole new system as there are no replacement parts. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great accessory for my stand mixer I've had this product for a couple of weeks and have used it many times. I have spiralized sweet potatoes, white potatoes, zucchini and apples. It's very easy to setup and clean up. I've only used the peeler once. It didn't work great on potatoes due to the uneven exterior. I used it to slice apples to be dehydrated, zucchini noodles for soup and potatoes to be baked. Spiralized potatoes make a nice presentation and cook faster. I will continue to find uses for this product. The instructional videos online are better than the booklet sent with the product. I like that the box can be used to store the blades and other pieces securely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Needs some improvement I have done 5 runs of apples (1 1/2 bushels) so far. It is a bit difficult to get them onto the holding bar if the apple is a hard variety, such as Arkansas Black. The Golden Delicious went on easier. The center that cuts the core needs to be just a bit smaller. I ended up having to cut around the peeled, spiraled apples on almost every one. Sometimes I must have touched a place that had oil because my fingers ended up with black on them. Never could figure out where it came from. If Kitchenaid would make the improvement of a smaller corer I would give this attachment 5 stars for the time it would save and ease of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and fun-fun-fun to use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the spiralizer so I could make my own zucchini noodles. Heck, I dropped 93 lbs and there’s no way I want that back :) What I love about the spiralizer is that is typical Kitchenaid solid construction-like I can see it still here years from now. Easy to use, easy to clean, fun to run! Hope this review sheds some light for you, if not, I did a demo-enjoy :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nifty accessory [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used this for spiralizing zucchini and coring and slicing apples. I've only had it about a month, so not alot of time to try it out yet. The only thing keeping me from giving this 5 stars is those blasted plastic parts on it should be swapped out for metal. Metal that would hold up to the work it would get without bending it, not some flimsy tin-can type. This would be beneficial on the "pin" that holds the item to be spiralized/peeled/sliced. I'm thinking hard plastic won't hold up, a steel pin would. I'm only giving it 4 stars in the "Quality" part of the review too because of this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Still Testing... Bought this to help my canning prep. Planned to can pears peeled cored & sliced with large core. Did not work well at all. Wound up peeling pears by hand after all. The following day I tried Sweet Potatoes peeling only except only one side of one potato peeled. After that I opted to chunk them & process with skin on. What happened? Kitchen Aid has such a reputation for quality. Disappointed to see so much plastic! Skewer should be metal & maybe slightly longer. Peeler is All Plastic except for blade. Is it possible to purchase replacement parts without buying an entire new set? Will continue to test but so far unimpressed. Purchased about a week ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Zoodlicious! I initially bought this spiralizer attachment mostly to make zucchini noodles. I had been using a small manual tool, but it took a long time to make enough for two people. This tool is easy and uncomplicated to use and can make a big pile of zoodles in just a few minutes. I also was pleasantly surprised at how little waste there was. Now that it's fall, I intend to try the slicing and peeling blades on apples and potatoes. The small blades just slide into the carrier and pull out for cleaning when finished. Easy peazy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't adequately express my disappointment I attempted to spiralize a potato yesterday, using the peeler. The base, peeler, and blade all locked into place. Not only was the potato not peeled, the 1/4 closest to the end turned into a liquidy mush. It did not spiralize. After a few turns, even tho the blade was locked into place, the blade flew off. I took everything apart and tried again with a 2d potato; same result. Thinking to try a different vegetable, I purchased zucchini, which I cut in 1/2 to shorten. Again, it did not peel. I got a few 1/2 moon slices, not a spiral, the end turned into a liquidy mush, and the zucchini burst apart. I tried again with the 2nd half; same result. Do not purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall fun and easy to use, but could be better Recently purchased this to help with my hubby's low carb diet. I've only used it a few times so far. Love the results overall, but have a couple issues. One is the skewer spinning in the food, turning it to mush and not spinning the food itself. The other I haven't seen any other review mention. When using the peeler, the peel goes right into the same bowl as the rest of the food unless you stand there and catch it by hand. The whole point of using it is so I can turn it on and let it run while I work on other parts of the meal. It's almost faster to peel by hand, and then let the machine slice or spiralize in a second step.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for Zucchini Just received the spiralizer today and went to work on noodling some zucchini. I must not have read enough reviews before purchasing it however, as I had the same problem that others had. The rotating end wouldn't securely hold the zucchini in place and would instead tears it up. I had to go back to using the plastic tabletop spiralizer that I was hoping to replace, it worked just fine. The write up even calls out zucchini noodles in their write up. Disappointed. :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've tried hand spiralizing zucchini and using a larger kitchen counter manual spiralizer. This spiralizes in seconds. It's a breeze to set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Apples, Apples, Apples [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you are gifted 2 1/2 bushels of apples, you need to get busy and get them peeled. If all I used this for was peeling I would have been thrilled. Of course, besides the peeling, I added coring and slicing. The house smelled terrific, pie shells were filled and frozen, the waste was used for making apple cider vinegar. Now I can't wait to try spiralizing. Thank you for helping me knock out the apples without any cuts on my hands. The only negative that I may have is that the slicing is thin for pies, so I did do about a bushel of just peeled, and cut those by hand. Otherwise I love the Sprializer Plus with Peel, Core and Slice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and easy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought the spiralizer after using a "hand-crank" spiralizer to make our "zuchetti" and other veggie dishers for several years. The hand operated device worked well, but required some effort and quite a bit of clean up. The KitchenAid spiralizer is a dream to use in comparison. Easy to set up and use and even easier to take apart and clean. This will allow us to do a lot more with veggies and apples/pears in our cooking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A lot of effort for poor results We got the spiralizer as a wedding gift from our registry. We had decided on this model because it could attach to our mixer and the metal construction. My husband was apprehensive about buying similar/cheaper models because of the plastic components. However, I've only had one successful experience using this product. Most of the time, the machine will stop spiralizing and then just start to tear up the back end of the vegetable where it was being supported. I then either have to manually run the vegetable through the machine or re-position the vegetable on the support prongs only to have the same shredding results. The other downside to the product is the size of vegetables used; I can't envison putting a butternut squash through it. I'm hoping to return the product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Peeler attachment sucks but the rest is great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This would be the best attachment if it stayed attached. The peeler peeled one Apple and now won't stay on. There's a very flimsy piece of metal to try and hold it in place. This was why we bought this attachment last year was for the peeler and it only stayed on for one fruit and never stayed on again. Kitchen aid usually has great products but I'm very disappointed with this part. The rest of it works great. I recommend this product if you didn't care about the peeler

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wasn't sure if I would like it Got it for Christmas, had seen it in the store myself and was skeptical. I was familiar with the peeler/slicer/cover design from the old fashioned hand crank one I have for apples. But spiralizer?? I questioned the usefulness of that, element think it was worth the expense. I was wrong. I do a lot of Asian cooking and some vegetables just take too long to prepare, I started putting them through the spiralizer and they cook in the same amount t of time as other vegetables now and I have the added benefit of a visually pleasing dish as well. So I started looking into uses in soups, salads, and other dishes. I use it pretty regularly now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time saving tool [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I borrowed a friends last fall to make apple pie slices. Couldn't beleive how fast, easy and well it did the job! This was top on my wish list. First thing I made was curly fries. I was having so much fun, I cut the whole 5 lb bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m glad I got the plus version. I buy three bushels of apples in the fall. This will help tremendously.i can give away my old hand crank one. It is handy to have a variety of blades. Now I can make my own vegetable spirals too. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this awhile and hadn’t used. Well Covid brought out the cook in me! This item make prep for multiple items a sinch. Whipped out the apples for a pie in 10 min flat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Attachment [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me hours to peel, core and cut apples for applesauce. So I searched on the website for an answer and ordered the 7 blade spiralizer Plus with Peel, Core and Slice. Nice box to hold all of the parts. It took me a little bit to get the hang of inserting the apples properly. But once that was learned, I sped through a box of apples in a short time! Even sized slices made drying the apples a snap. Why did I wait so long?! May have to try out one of the other time saver attachments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy use and quick to clean up I feel like any of the reviews that are less than 4 stars must not be using the attachments properly. It works great! My husband and I use ours multiple times a week. Zoodles, apples, potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions; it always works great. Very little effort , extremely quick, and hardly any waste.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wanted to love it but I don't I bought this to peel/core and slice apples. It worked great for the first 10 apples, then it stopped working properly. The slicer wouldn't advance, it just kept clicking on the gear drive. Plus it does not work on softer apples, the skewer holder ends up grinding a hole in the apple instead of holding it in place. Totally bummed and now I have to peel and slice the manual way.
