Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2 Designer Flaws I bought this food processor because I love my KitchenAid Mixer. I am very unimpressed! This chopper has two major design flaws. First, the dome shaped lid traps food when trying to shred things like cabbage, onions and peppers. Okay, more like purees them rather than shred. It is also awkward to use. I would prefer a screw top lid like my old one. Second, the food pusher is two separate pieces. I accidently put the pusher in upside down and the sphere pusher went into the blade. I had to dump out everything and start over because there were shards of plastic in my food. The sphere pusher should lock into the larger pusher or it should just be one piece altogether. I'm not sure why they did this. You have to use both so food doesn't fly everywhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE MY NEW ASSET [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well ever since we received this 7 cup food processer by kitchenaid, we have been using it every other day. I can not believe I used to use a knife and take the time it did to fix dinner. We had a challenged the day after we got it and I will NEVER go back to just a knife. This makes everything so simple form vegetables to dough. I make flour tortillas and this is GREAT. I love the time saver and the easy cleaning and the different slicers available I love this. I am even taking up making cookies...lol I am fully content and I actually purchased one for my mother. GREAT KITCHEN MUST HAVE

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and Easy [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son gave me the 7 cup food processor in Empire Red for Christmas, I love it! Not only is it beautiful and matches the rest of my Kitchenaid appliances. I first chopped vegetables for homemade soup. It was so quick and easy, and clean up was so fast. Next I made pie crust, and it was amazing! The crust turned out to be light and flaky, and so quick. No more pastry blender and elbow grease needed. I just made some ham, cheddar and grn onion scones. Just a few pulses and the dough was ready to form. Love, love, love my Kitchenaid 7 cup food processor. Made my life easier for sure!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good size but broke on 2nd use We enjoyed this food processor the first time we used it. It was sturdy and worth the price. However, after the second use, the lid fell from the counter and broke. It is completely unusable now. I was surprised the lid was so fragile, but would be happy to replace it, as we were enjoying the product. Unfortunately, no replacement exists. After scouring the internet (including kitchenaid's own website and ebay), I tried to call kitchenaid to see if the replacement exists. I had no luck. I wish I would have done more research before purchasing this product, as it has several reviews of the handle/motor/lid breaking very early. Overall, I would not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the new locking lid and takes up less space! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had both a 5 cup and an 11 cup food processor. I didn't need them both and I had a heck of a time with the twist on bowl and lid to connect after years of use. I was so excited when this new lid concept came out because no more break lid tops as you try to twist it into place. And I love the way you can store the slicing disc inside along with the blade. Takes up less space. Would love to see other discs for other grating/slicing options and widths. I actually like using a FP better than a mandolin - less opportunity for sliced up fingers. Good job!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke in 5 uses Was shredding cheese with it and it broke. I understand when you make millions of products your gonna get a bad one here and there. But whay prompted me to write this review it i was I was on hold for 90 minutes trying to get yo customer service. When I finally got through to someone I got nothing but attitude. Was told we put to much cheese in it and it was our fault. How can you put in to much when you have to cut it small to put it in the food processor opening? Like I said im sure we just got a diffective product and I understand its gonna happen. But to get so much attitude and kickback when all I'm asking for us a replacement is unacceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for saving time! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my 7 cup food processor on yesterday and couldn't wait to put it to use! The first thing I noticed was the beautiful red color of it. It is much bigger than I expected, but still small enough to store without taking up too much space and not heavy. The instructions made it seem difficult to put together, so I just put it together on my own and it took me just a couple of minutes. My onions, cucumbers and tomatoes were a perfect cut for my salad and I saved a lot of time. This is my very first time ever using a food processor and I am pleased with the outcome. I will definitely be using it on a daily basis!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was so excited to get this as a Christmas gift I was so excited to get this on Christmas Eve 2020! I have wanted a food processor for a long time, when I opened this up my eyes lit up was perfect for what I needed. I can honestly say no word of a lie I used this only 3 times. Because of its size, I was cautious of how much and what I put in it. Always small batches of batter. And on the last and final time it died on me, motor started to smoke on me so I stopped using it,cleaned it all and figured it's tired and needed a nap or something, but went to try it again the fallowing day to see if it would work but nothing... Nada..zero...not even the little indicator lights work nothing

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Quality Not Premium Owned a KitchenAid food processor before which was very sturdy and durable. A great workhorse that was feature packed. Decided to get a compact model but this is so flimsy. The dials are tacky and sticky. The cutting blade is weak and the dough blade looks like a toy piece. KitchenAid don’t make quality products anymore. This is not what I would expect from this brand. It’s not sturdy and very noisey. Under load it wobbles and the motor struggles. Doesn’t have enough power. This functions like a chopper at best. What a let down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never knew what I was missing until I got this KitchenAid - 7 Cup Food Processor! It's made work in the kitchen so much more enjoyable, not to mention easier! =) The slicing/shredding disc is an absolute time saver however you look at it! We use this little helper every time we need to chop, slice, dice, or shred! It's even great for making mashed potatoes! The cleanup of this KitchenAid Food Processor is so easy, too! All of the components (not the base) are top rack dishwasher safe, which is a plus in my book. You just can't go wrong with this item! It's great in every way!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Highly Effective [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because it looked like a quality product. And after using it for a couple of months now, it lives up to its looks. All the parts fit together with very satisfying precision. And, the processor has a very heavy duty feel to it. I use this processor strictly for chopping vegetables. I steam them for several minutes so they remain pretty hard when they come out of the steamer. It's time consuming to chop them by hand for this reason. But, with this processor I can chop them in a minute, saving me a lot of time. It worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Products a pleasure to use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have never owned a KitchenAid product, I am sold now. We have a large garden, and just did our sweet pumpkins into bread and pies, yum. Had been grinding peppers the old way and now its a pleasure to process them, the time that it saves. I make my own chili powder and the food processor is awesome, I now question myself why did I wait this long. After purchasing this unit we bought a blender with several attachments.... thank you KitchenAid,, your products are awesome

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best food processor on the market! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After being diagnosed with MS, thisnis hands down the best kitchen tool I use everyday. I tried cheaper brands like Cuisinart and Hamilton Beach. None can compare to the size, ease and cleanup! Thanks KitchenAid for a valuable tool in making my life easier.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bummed! I received this food processor as a wedding gift less than a year ago and within a few times of using it the plastic piece within the blade broke and now it wont spin :( I have read other reviews stating this. I hope Kitchen Aid stands behind their products because I received many Kitchen Aid products as wedding gifts. Besides the blade breaking I loved it so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First, it's a very pretty red color, so a great pop of color for the kitchen. Second, I was impressed with the overall design. I've had a hard time with food processers in the past that need to be click turned into place. I can never seem to get them lined up right and because of that they won't work. This is a huge improvement over that. It's a simple snap into place, no turning required. I love that about it. It also has plenty of room. I cut a large onion in half and dropped it and and 3 pulses was all it took to chop it. Top removed easily for cleaning as well. Overall,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This Food Processor! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a smaller processor before, that didn't really get the job done. This processor fits on my counter under the top cabinets, perfectly, and works like a dream. It has low, high, and pulse. Love the way the lid locks on. The lid sits inside the bowl so if you are doing something with flour, it stays in the bowl instead of making a big mess on your counter. It has a strong enough motor for most jobs and a large enough bowl for most jobs. The included disk shreds and slices. So basically this small and economical processor does everything I need it to do. Highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from grates really well, slices not thin enough [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace the KitchenAid food processor that I had for years, but it finally gave out. The replacement improved the placement of the feed shoot at the top to the back of the food processor, and then old one used to have a ridge just under the shoot that would get clogged and had to be cleaned out with a spatula. Also the grating mechanism on this new one is better and makes fast work of grating. BUT, the slicing blade does not slice thin enough slices to suit me. I now have to use my mandolin to get thin slices. This food processor really needs to come with a slicing blade for thin slices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just right [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this model at my home in Illinois because I wanted to downsize from the 12 cup model. This 7 cup is just the right size for me - big enough for a pie crust, not too much trouble to shred cheese or chop nuts, or spin up oatmeal into flour for my favorite pancakes. Then as I planned Thanksgiving dinner at my home in Indiana, I realized I would not make it without my food processor- so I got one for here too. I like the small footprint, how easy it is to clean and Kitchen Aid reliability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A time and labor saver [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first food processor so I really don’t have anything to compare it to. So far have shredded carrots for carrot cake which save me so much time. Chopped onions which kept my eyes from watering and burning. Finally chopped up for ounce bar of unsweetened chocolate nicely. ( I did break up to chocolate bar first into smaller pieces ). Happy with my purchase. I watch the online video about using this food processor before I used it and it was helpful. Easy to put together and take apart. Easy to clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SO FAST [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wanting a larger food processor for some time. Making 4 batches in my small one was a pain. I can make mash potatoes for the whole family in this, as well as enough soup for all. It fits under the cabinet on my counter which is a plus for me and my small kitchen. No regrets here-great processor!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product, I am happy with it [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got my 7cup food processor a couple weeks ago, so I am still playing around with it. I have issues with cutting, slicing, dicing due to injury and was looking into getting processor. And so far it is great, I was able to slice potatoes and kind of made potato chips, it chopped up garlic wonderfully. I used it on onions to see if it could dices, I used the shredder blade and it didn't actually dice perfectly but it worked pretty good to my needs for egg salad etc. I made hummus using the processor and it is great cause you chop garlic and dump everything in and mix with the chop blade. Also used on celery I used the slicer not exactly how I wanted it but I still want to see if shredder will work better. As for tomato not so good, got a few slices but kind of mushed the rest. I think it would work better on a much firmer and smaller tomato like Plum Tomato's. Couple things I wish, was that the chute was bigger to fit a potato or tomato so you don't have to cut in half or quarters. Would be kind of cool if the chute came in various sizes/various inserts (more chutes inside each other the smaller food you can hold) to accommodate various food sizes. I know this is new and I haven't looked into accessories but I hope there are additional blade options like french fry cuts, various slicing thickness etc.. if there aren't then you should come up with additional blade options. Sound- not to loud or annoying. Easy to put together and use. Be kind of interesting if the buttons said, chop, slice, shred instead of low, high, pulse. Cleaning is pretty easy only thing just look out for tiny pieces that might get stuck by the hinge (might be cause I'm a messy cook LOL). I am definitely not a chef and I am still experimenting but so far it has been great using the 7cup processor, and any issues are minimal and are just things I think "I" would like. I would recommend, KitchenAid products have always been good to me... (again hope you do have more blade options).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Short lifespan I was gifted this food processor 2 years ago by my partner and used it often for veggies, sauces, dough, etc. I loved it until it burned out on me this week. This brand is known for being the best and these products are supposed to be well-made and durable enough to last at least 5 years (especially considering the price!) I am disappointed that a product from this company only have a 2 year lifespan. I would love to recommend the product to my followers for its performance, but cannot in good conscience due to its lifespan. I will have to look elsewhere for more durability, but am very sad to leave this product behind!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Size [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own a much larger food processor so the size of the kitchen aid is perfect for leaving the machine on the counter for smaller jobs. While it does a great job chopping and grating, the way the lid is attached makes the insert fall out every time it is opened. And the 2 peice chopping blade (which does not lock into place) means you have to rememeber to remove the blade before dumping out the contents pf the bowl or risk losing a finger. I would recommend the processor but I think the top and blade design needs some tweaking

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was So Excited... I was so excited to purchase my first KitchenAid product after always hearing and seeing such great things about them. Unfortunately, I hate this food processor so much, it just kind of sits on the counter as a decoration, and I wipe off the dust every now and then. I wish you had greater control over the processing itself for the price you pay for the machine, but it’s not terrible. The circular blade is absolutely useless. There’s such a large gap between the lid and the blade that I’ve found it’s easier and more consistent to grate, slice, and shred by hand. There are also some key design flaws, like how there’s no way to lock the top piece, so it falls out whenever you open the lid if you forget to take it off. I wish I’d just never bought it lol

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Prepping for Two [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this for quick prep of meals everyday. I have a larger food processor for larger meals, doughs, and larger batch jobs. This kitchen aid model is powerful and quiet. I love it for coleslaw and salsas and shredding hard (cold) cheeses and slicing veggies. I highly recommend this size of Kitchenaid for a family of four or fewer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile! I received the 7 cup processor as part of the ambassador program, and honestly, I'm SO grateful that I was given the opportunity to use this product. It was not something I would have sought out, but now that I've used it, I couldn't imagine my kitchen without it. It not only replaced my blender, but my box grater and pastry cutter, too! It's simple to use, VERY easy to clean, and it works exactly how you'd hope it would. I've made silky soups, creamy hummus, perfectly shredded potatoes, pie crust... I could go on and on. It's on the larger side, but I wouldn't want it any other way. It's become a permanent fixture!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Motor, Poor attachments I purchased this processor over 10 years ago and I believe that the motor will last another 10 years, but the bowl attachment has been replaced 4 times because of cheap plastic parts that break. I never put it in the dishwasher. I really like it but there is a definite problem with the interior workings of the bowl. Motor - good, lid - good, blade - good, bowl - horrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine Used it today for the first time, just love this little thing. Soooo easy to use, to clean, no twisting the lid and bowl, and my arthritic wrists and fingers are happy. It has great power, just love it. I was hesitant because of the cost, but now glad I did, well worth the $$$. Thank you Kitchenaid for a simple design, but powerful blender.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice for puree and compact storage [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This processor was quick and easy for pureeing fruit for a dessert. Slicing vegetables not so good. The round tube to drop food into and slice or shred is very small . Once the food dropped into the slicer/shredder is was more like chopped. I want to slice potatoes for scallop potatoes. Didn't work.
