Rated 5 out of 5 by Shasta from I Love this attachment it is the best! I own almost every attachment and 3 Stand mixers, and this is by far my favorite! Let me tell you why... I get large amount of bulk veggies and they need to be processed for later use. this would be a nightmare if I had to do this all by hand. What I do is place a ziplock bag in a bowl and let the veggies fall right into the bag. zip it up and freeze it done. I do onions, Bell pepper, celery, cheese, anything that I will need for later soups and stock starters. I take my pasta roller and roll out pizza dough for home made hot pockets. I use my mixers for everything. but this is my favorite attachment (pasta roller a close second)

Rated 1 out of 5 by MaxedMac from Great Idea, Poor execution. Great Idea and actually a good design but it does not perform as well as I expected. The dial on the side to adjust thickness is a great feature. This does work, however it requires taking it apart and clearing out the disk for the dicer after every vegetable (I tried with onions, bell peppers, and jalapeños) the dicer gets clogged with the skins. I only used the dicing blade. I like the way it will just drop your results into a bowl of your choice as this makes it easier to do large quantities, but constantly having to take the top off, clean the dicing disk, etc. just proved too much work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by abarrios from So Disappointed I, like so many others, was very disappointed to find that I had been mislead by this attachment being named a "Food Processor". I couldn't believe that it does not come with a blade/ability for mixing and pureeing like every other food processor out there. I bought this for the food processor and thought I was getting a bonus in the shredder, dicer, slicer, etc. At the time I purchased (over a year ago), there was no mention of this in the reviews I had read or the description. I would not have made this purchase if was named for what it actually does. It is still sitting in the box and has never been used because I have yet to find a need for it that is greater than my disappointment.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Patty from It okay I received this as a Christmas gift to help with some recipes I wanted to try. I get a little frustrated because when I am using the attachments I still get some of my foods not shredded or diced the way I was expecting. But I am still enjoying it because it beats doing it the manual way which I still tend to do on occasion depending what perfection I am in the mood for. It is easy to use, I still read the directions to make sure I put it together properly. Sometimes though I am afraid that I will get food on the part that isn't submersible in water and that makes me nervous.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Annette from Works as described and I love the dicing feature. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I am very happy with my product. I do a lot of canning and making homemade soups so hand dicing is just too time consuming when I am making 14 quarts of soup to can for the winter. This does the job very quickly and did a fantastic job of slicing several quarts of strawberries for jam. I had no trouble chopping green onions for the soup ... provided I used the small feeder as per the instructions. The odd piece flipped around on the top of the blade but my old food processor was much worse. What I really liked was that was less expensive than buying the full size kitchenaid food processor just to get the dicing feature.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Dancing Daisy from Decent but not great When requesting this product for my registry, I did not realize that food "processor" did not mean it could blend items like most processors on the market. This one only chops, slices, dices, & juliennes. However, besides this mistake on my behalf, the reason this processor receives poor ratings is because the first time I used it, the blade chopped part of the plastic off the top lid when I was slicing sweet potatoes. Ever since then, parts of the food I cut up gets caught in the top and doesn't go all the way through or gets shredded funny. I would definitely prefer a standard food processor blender on the market over this attachment. I do not recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Russ from Great until it wasn't We purchased this as a Christmas present to ourselves. While we didn't use all of the blades this came with we did use it a lot for shredding cheese and vegetables. We noticed recently that the base where it attached to the Kitchenaid mixer was cracking in several places where the top cover locks into place as well as the bottom of the base near the drive mechanism. One piece of the plastic cracked off and landed in our food we were preparing. Fortunately we found it before the piece was eaten.

Rated 4 out of 5 by will87 from A real time-saver [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The attachment works great, once you learn how to use it. It cuts well, and makes a certain kind of veggie prep extremely fast. The cleanup is easy. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that I don't think it really serves as a food processor. Anything involving pulverizing (like bread crumbs) or turning into a paste (like pesto) wouldn't really work with this. Instead this device is more like a mandolin + coarse chopping of a food processor, functions which it excels at. For the record, I've only been using it for about a month, so I cannot speak to the long-term performance.
