Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Choice, Poor Response Refrigerator is 16 months old. Already showing signs of compressor problems and very noisy with vibrations. Three call to the overseas call center were a waste. Won't agree to send anyone with a promise that if it is the compressor (which is still under warranty) it will be covered. No Authorized rep. Given 4 different names and none are willing to do LG Warranty work any longer. So.....after three call, no one available to work on the unit and no support for the warranty. Am in a major metro area, so can't imagine in a smaller area. Going to dump it and buy a real Refrigerator. Not going to put another dollar into this thing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice when it works, but repairs stink [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my fridge almost 2 years ago. Unfortunately it completely stopped cooling and I have had to try to get repairs done. Apparently LG refrigerators can only be repaired by LG certified technicians. This is requiring me to live almost 1 month without a refrigerator! Think about this before buying an LG. If there are so few technicians that you wait weeks before a repair, you might want to purchase from another company. In the future I will not buy LG. Living with a family for 4+ weeks without a refrigerator(that is under 2 years old) is unacceptable. Poor customer service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fridge! I have had this unit for about 6 months now and am really happy with it. The air filter service light just came on this morning and other than that, I've never had to touch a thing. Really roomy, easy to use, and it'll chill anything you put in it very fast. On top of that, it didn't drive my light bill through the roof despite being much larger than what it replaced. Cons? Only one I've seen is that since the ice maker is internal to the fridge, if you leave something that has a strong aroma (garlic, onions, etc.) in the fridge it will give the ice a trace of the flavor and smell. It's not undrinkable, but I did notice it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good with 2 major flaws Fridge is great with what I would consider a 2 major flaws. While it is a great space saver to have the ice hidden in the door, this fridge is not for you if you use a lot of ice throughout the day. The ice holder is small and the machine doesn't make enough to keep up. If you make daily smoothies, iced coffee, and drink ice water you will run out. I did not have this issue with my previous Maytag. LG knew this as they added the extra space in the freezer for backup ice. However, I would have to buy ice to keep it full. If ice is not a concern for you then this fridge is great and spacious. For our family, it just doesn't work for the price paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely Quiet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about two weeks ago and so far so good. I bought it as a replacement for our Kitchenaid that was horrible and that one was a replacement for the first Kitchenaide, that luckily we bought the extended warranty. They both were very noisy and would not cool or freeze correctly. Ice would build up on the fins and the fan blades would start hitting the buildup of ice. So far the LG is cooling and freezing as expected and it is very, very quiet. In fact, during the first week, I would open the door to see if it was running. Time will tell how it will hold up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only 3 complaints [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The drawers are really nice especially the lower wide drawer. The in-door ice machine allows for more usable shelf space and the freezer down below is a good size and a must have. I have only three complaints and I hope LG is listening because they are obvious design issues that could have (should have) been addressed before selling these. 1. The doors are LOUD when closing and the right door doesnt close itself and stays just slightly opened if not pushed deliberately to close. Under the right door hinge, is a plastic spring designed to keep the door closed tight, but also hinders the closing process and stops the door from naturally closing. I removed it and the door closed naturally but not tightly so I added it back. A better hinge spring design is needed. 2. The shelves are sloppy and warp easily. They sag towards the middle even when empty. The center where two shelves join never stays connected and one shelf or the other drops lower at the center. I have to DUCT TAPE the two together to keep them from separating and sagging. The bottom shelf is a one piece design and it is solid and straight. 3. The door-shelves are in fixed locations. Many items do not fit as you cannot adjust the door-shelves up or down. All in all a very good fridge and even better if they fix the shelving and door issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 5 weeks old with problems The refrigerator does not get cold enough and twice now the water does not stop. I called LG for service and they told me that because I have one with a new type of coolant, they do not have a certified technician to send out. Now I am waiting 24-48 hours for a call back. Really? I live in the Los Angeles area? No techs ? If you want to get this model fixed, buy something else. This is both pathetic and unacceptable

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Loud, Loud and Loud Great looking fridge with very nice interior and features. However, the biggest problem is how loud the fridge runs. The compressor runs most of the time and it is extremely loud. It makes all kinds of weird loud noises: humming, clicking metal, squealing, etc. Don't buy unless you have a separate kitchen where you don't spend much time. It is a shame LG fridges run so loud (based on my experience and many reviews I've read online). If only they figure out how to make their compressors to be quieter I think they will lead the market. Until this happens I cannot recommended LG fridges.
