Seal inside door vastly improved and much easier to dry after use. Door also stays open where you want it so machine can "breathe" after use. Controls are a little confusing - start button has too many functions, and why does the panel have a rinse icon that makes you think you can change the rinse temperature? You can't. It would be helpful if a full manual came with the machine. It also would be useful to know how long each cycle takes and how much time each option adds. Some cycles are way too long!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Lyne from Does Not Drain Properly This is my second one of these machines. Bought the first one a month ago and could not get it to drain properly. There was always at least a quart of water remaining in the bottom of the drum. The bottom clothes had to be wrung out each time. Tried everything, minimal amounts of HE detergent, extra spin cycles, cleaning the drain hose (even though it was new). Finally gave up and had the washer replaced a few days ago. New washer, same exact problem! How can this be? I had them both professionally installed and double checked all of your on-line instructions. I am frustrated and extremely disappointed!

But if you have the washer in the basement, or some other place that the water needs to drain higher than the washer top; beware. There is no backflow check valve in this machine so the water will flow back into the tub and soak your finished clothes. The owners manual says you can put the drain up to 96 inches above the floor and my dream was only 74 inches above the floor. I had to install my own back check valve in line with the drain pipe of the washer to get it to function normally.

It is so much better than my other washer. I can now cut down on my wash time because the bigger load size allows for fewer loads.I love that this washer has so many wash features, even one for allergens. I also love that this washer can send information to the dryer to know what cycle to put the dryer on for the perfect cycle for your load of clothes. My clothes feel cleaner and better washed. All these amazing features make this washer the perfect upgrade to my old washer. I definitely recommend this washer to everyone!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Captain61 from Leaking since new This machine has leaked from month 3 of owning it. It pukes out soap and water from the back vent every so often. I have done everything recommended by LG and nothing prevents it. I have read about several other consumers experiencing this and they all had the same experience I had. LG doesn’t want to deal with it and claims it’s from using too much soap. Spent extra money on this unit and the matching dryer rather than buying a “cheaper” brand and am extremely disappointed since I am getting wet feet every other time I do laundry. Furthermore, the quick wash setting is absolutely useless and the full wash cycle takes well over an hour to complete.

Initially I wasn’t crazy about the long cycle times and really thought the wi-fi feature was silly. However since owning it I found that the cycle times are really dependent on the type of load you wash and are not long at all. My clothes come out almost dry therefore greatly decreasing the drying time. And the wi-fi feature that I thought was silly is really great. It was extremely easy to connect, love that I can pick from a variety of downloaded cycles and my phone tells me when my laundry is complete. I did not purchase a new dryer so now I have a smart washer and dumb dryer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by banjo man from needs attention after use/sounds like a helicopter [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So my wife wanted a front loader... I will say that it does seem to clean clothing well however here is what we dont like: 1) we were told we needed to keep the door gasket and soap dispenser wiped dry after each use and the leave the door open on both to encourage more drying as well as prevent mold and odors? 2) When the thing goes into "spin" it vibrates the whole house (it feels like a helicopter is hoovering over the top of the house) The machine is not "walking" and it is level with all 4 legs making contact on the floor so its not that. Its just really "loud" at a low decibel level during spin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so very pleased with my new washer, of course I love the look but the room to wash big loads is great. Family of 5 here and I have a ton of laundry to do everyday. One of my favorite things is how quiet it is compared to my old washer. Not to mention the easy installation. Clear and easy to follow directions that made the process very quick! Only a few steps and until all hooked up and ready to go. Required minimal tools and took about 10 minutes once I got the machine set in the laundry room. Leveling the washer was very easy with the tools provided. Needles to say we are very satisfied with our new washer.
