Excellent!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this dryer for a few weeks. So far, it works great. It takes some time to get used to the drying options, but that would be the case with any new equipment. The only thing I don’t love about it is that you have to hold down the start button to begin & the drum light stays on unless you turn it off. The manual may explain how to bypass these functions, though. I really like the depth of the drum and that it senses the weight of the clothes for efficiency. There is a pretty tone at the end when the cycle is complete. It is a sleek looking dryer and definitely gets the job done!

no more overcooking fabrics
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer a few weeks ago. What attracted me to the Maytag was the fact that the door was hinged on the bottom creating a shelf when opened to prevent clothing, towels, socks, etc. from falling on the floor. I have limited space and didn't want to have to store a plastic laundry tub. This machine has a sensor and stops the heat when it senses the clothes are dry. It has a pleasant chime instead of a loud buzzer to alert you when they are dry. My only gripe and it is a minor one, is that the top is not flat. The curve prevents me from storing the detergent, dryer sheet etc. on top.

Glad we kept the drying rack
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer 2 months ago to replace Whirlpool Duet Front loader. We are empty nesters, just my husband and myself, only drying 1 or 2 small loads a day. Clothes come out wrinkled and some items come out damp when fabric types are mixed. I've tried all the settings, and still same result. Already shopping to replace. Either splurge for top of the line, or buy the cheap model. This middle of the road machine is a let down. One of the most irritating features is the way you have to start the machine....you press one button, then have to hold down a another button to count down from 3. Poor design.

Enjoying All the Features
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Maytag dryer to replace my 23 year old Maytag dryer. Needles to say, the technology is quite advanced since my last dryer purchase. There are many different cycles to choose from and that was a bit of a learning curve for me, but I kept the owner’s manual on top of the dryer and made notes and I’ve gotten the hang of it. I like that fold down hamper door and the extra power button is really useful. Overall, I am pleased with my new dryer. I am not including a photo because my new Maytag dryer looks very futuristic next to my 25 year old Maytag washer! Like two totally different eras!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] About 6 months ago when my 24 year old Maytag dryer finally died, I bought my new one and have been pleased with it so far. Bit of a learning curve for me, but I just kept the owner’s manual open on top of the dryer and made notes. After 6 months I’m getting the hang of it! I do like the fold down hamper door and the extra power button is working out nicely as well. Sometimes the clothes do not get as dry as I would like, but overall I am happy. I am not including a photo because my 26 year old Maytag washer is sitting right beside my new dryer and it looks like spaceship sitting next to horse buggy!

Decent dryer.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this drier a couple months back. So far it does most of what is asked, however, the add time button doesn't seem to add any time and only chimes when touched. The temperature sensor shuts the dryer off prematurely when drying sheets or blankets even using the bulky items or heavy duty settings and as stated above I am unable to add time and the sensor will, after a few minutes, shut the dryer down again. This can be frustrating when trying to dry towels or the above blankets. Everything else drys wonderfully though. Dryer has a curved top so don't set anything on it or it will end up on the floor.

Dryer is very good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the washer and dryer pair. For the most part it dries very nicely. However, I just put one fleece blanket in there to dry and having trouble getting dryer to stay on long enough to dry it. Even put heavy duty and it still cut off before blanket was dry. I just put it back in for the fourth time. Other loads like t-shirts, sheets, towels, it handles very very nicely. Oh....and directions are not so good. I had to have a repairman come to show me how to use the different functions.

Maytag is still the best!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old Maytag set died 3 & 1/2 years ago, it was old & paid for itself many times over. My wife wanted another brand because of the fancy looks., it was quite expensive as well. The new foreign built dryer only lasted 3 & 1/2 years. Googling the problem diagnosed it as requiring a new motor and stated; good thing the motors cheap because you have to replace them every 2 to 3 years. ENOUGH SAID. Back to MAYTAG. The new Maytag set we bought was considerably cheaper, made in America and has a 10 year warranty on the motor and drum. I am sure this new Maytag will outlive our original set by many years....
