Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 months and it's still doing great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our family of 5 has been using the dryer for 4 months now and it's been working well. Although it has many features, we mainly just use the Normal cycle. Tried the Steam Refresh cycle and it helps with the wrinkle shirts (still need to iron tho). Clothes don't get over dry so it's nice, but jeans might not get fully dried when mixed with other clothes - can understand coz everything else is dried. The SmartThings app was a bit confusing at first and won't connect with the dryer. It finally works after the app got updated but there's really not much point using the app with the dryer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Steamy, in a bad way On first use, water pooled on the floor. Tried adjusting settings, load size, etc, thinking this was user error. Water continues to pool on the floor, water comes out the knob, and comes out the seams/edges. After a few more loads with problem solving, hot steam comes out the back vent (intake?) and soaks my walls. Paint is now peeling, walls soft to touch. I'm at 5 weeks of ownership and already feel exhausted. Nice perk is it connects to SmartThings, but hardly makes up for the headache and damage. Oh, and it looks nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sheets and blankets ball up constantly i've owned and used a lot of dryers in my life, so believe me when i say this dryer balls up sheets and blankets badly. with previous dryers (including the 20+ year old low-end maytag this one replaced) i only had to check the load halfway through and detangle it, and everything was fine until the dryer finished. i have to rescue the load every 5 or 10 minutes when i hear the dryer thumping because the sheets or blankets have rolled into a ball (not tangled, rolled up like a burrito). it's wasting energy because it takes a lot longer to dry the load, causing additional wear-and-tear on machine, and driving me absolutely insane.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dryer sucks [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i bought this not too long ago. i quickly realized that the dryer sucks i have to dry for long periods of time for the clothes to be fully dry. i wash a thick blanket set it to that particulatar setting on the drier, set it to the hottest temperature did so twice and they blanket is still wet!! the set up i paid for i thought it included them showing me how to set up the wifi. well nope they certainly did not. i have been trying to figure how to return the product but due to covid19 and people coming in and out of my home i have not been able to. the color doesn't look anything like the photo almost like stainless steel rather than champagne.

The dryer’s drum is bigger than the washer, and I think that allows for faster drying of the loads. The only critique I have is that I can’t control the machines remotely unless turning on the smart control on the machine first. I was in a rush and ran out the house one day, completely forgetting to start the dryer. I immediately thought of starting the dryer while I was on the road but couldn’t. Doesn’t make sense to have a smart appliance if I can’t use the smart features when needed.

At first I was upset about the app connectivity but Samsung worked it out before I complained. The clothes are always dry before the initial timer time. I have 2 children with sensitive skin, so no dryer sheets can be used. I always run the regular setting and then the steam refresh setting to get rid of the static cling. The app has nice features, time remaining and energy usage. Also having it tell you when the cycle is done is very convenient with the washer and dryer being on a different level of the house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good design and featurrs [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 6 months ago when my previous unit died. I have been extremely happy with drying performance. It has features not on my previous dryer that I was not expecting to have much appeal to me but have found I was wrong. The dryer alert on my phone is great. It reminds me the cycle has completed wherever I am so I can attend to removing items before wrinkling. The wrinkle avoidance cycle is great as well. Small things like the lint catcher that actually seems to capture all the lint and has a high capacity is a great upgrade from the previous unit. The steam sanitizer cycle is a welcome upgrade as well.
