We bought this refrigerator because we needed a new ice maker - after we used it for a month or two, the device stopped working! We often buy store bought ice because the ice maker is ridiculously slow. I didn't notice how small the compartment was until we started using it. We have a family of four (not big) and run out of ice after breakfast and the new batch isn't ready until bedtime. I do love the sleek design, but our fridge is not fingerprint resistant!!! The fridge doesn't have handles - it looks like our kids attack the front of the fridge trying to get it open - the fingerprints drive me crazy!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by diacontroller from bad design on ice maker I am writing this review again. This is another day without ice!!! The ice maker in this refrigerator constantly freezes up. It seems like every time we get ready to sit down to dinner there is no ice because the ice maker has frozen up. This so annoying. I thought I was buying a quality appliance. I love my Samsung phone, but these appliances are not the quality that you pay for.

In 10 months. They have replaced it and it still breaks down. Very disappointed. We have several other Samsung products such as dishwasher, microwave, stove and curved TV, which have held up well. Wish I could say the same for the refrigerator. No product should break down 3 times in 10 months.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dissapointment abounds from Not a good fit - design flaw It is like this. Bought a Samsung when black stainless first came out for our other house. Non counter depth. Works great for the site. For this house bought a counter depth. In all the pictures Samsung shows the unit pushed back, front of the doors flush with the surrounding cabinets, maybe an inch or less clearance on the sides. Because of crummy hinge/door design we cannot push the fridge back like all the pictures as the hinge design does not allow one to open the doors far enough so the fridge sticks out maybe 4 inches. Then to take out a veggie bin drawer to clean we have to pull the fridge out perhaps 6 or more inches so the doors fold back enough to pull out the drawer. The advertising pictures of the installed unit are deceptive. It might be Samsung supplied improper hinges and doors for this unit. A proper door and hinge would have the hinge within an inch of the front of the door, not 4 inches in. Unfortunately 2 months into this we will have to wait probably 15 years for it to wear out and get something different. We are stuck and don't like it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by GoldenGate from Should have passed i bought a samsung because of my experiences and their reputation in the industry. i shouldn't have! after reading all of the bad reviews based on the ice box freezing up, i really should have known better. after a year my ice cube box froze up. i called to see about getting repaired (1 month past the 1year) and was told that i had to pay for a repair first. samsung acknowledged there was an issue and they still wanted me to pay, such bad service. now after 2.5 years, the control panel is giving me error codes. now i have a frozen ice box and a glitched out control panel, all of this on a $3000+ fridge on a 2.5 year fridge. unexceptionable.
