Rated 1 out of 5 by from another bad ice maker! Ice machine jams due to poorly designed auger blades. Ice machine randomly pops out of place (pushes forward) due to a god-awful latch system that does not latch. There is literally no visible or audio indication of any kind that it is latched in place. Due to ice machine always popping out it causes the ice to be freezer burnt and creates a bad taste in drinks. Whiskey on the rocks? Not anymore! Ice also doesn't freeze solid and it quickly turns to slush. I'm going to harass samsung for my money back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Features are top notch, the Family Hub is average The four doors are excellent. The build quality is very good. The flexibility of the system is nice and the refrigerator features outstanding. The only issue our family has with the refrigerator, which prevents it from being a 5 star choice, is the Samsung Family Hub. Samsung requires you to use their internet app, their assistant, and limits apps on the refrigerator. We the hub to be nice but it's not functional or could be more functional. We use it sparingly but the refrigerator is nice. Our advice, buy the four door unit but not the big screen computer version.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from False alerts annoying This refrigerator is a very good piece. Its space well designed. It looks great and works great. Purchased this item a year ago. My kids loved it to play on it and see calendar items. I play youtube on it to see some cooking lessons. All is well until few weeks ago. It started giving false alarm as door is opened. There is nothing wrong with the door. Checked it thoroughly and found nothing with the door. Looks like some sensors not working properly. Now these false alarms started annoying on my phone, on the refrigerator and even sounds scared our cat! There is no option that I can set to ignore these false alarms. Only option is to turn off the smart system. That is not acceptable!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Freezer isn’t working We’ve had our brand new refrigerator for three weeks and we are still unable to utilize the freezer. It won’t freeze or keep foods frozen such as ice packs, ice cream, bread products. We’ve had service out twice and another visit scheduled on Friday. The first technician determined the issue to be coolant restriction but was not certified to work on the sealed system. The second technician found nothing wrong, so he took no steps to repair the unit. We are beyond frustrated with the lack of resolution.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Acceptable hardware with garbage software The hardware is OK but it's not great. The ice maker frosts over and then cubes get stuck and it stops producing. I've already had the ice maker unit replaced and it's still doing it, though not as bad. Ice also frequently gets trapped in the dispenser and melts, leaking water into the trough below. Everything else, hardware wise, works fine. Very configurable. Software... where to being. Tizen is bad. It just is. Why they didn't just take Android and slap a bad skin on it like TouchWiz, I can't even begin to guess. It's slow. Bixby is non responsive most of the time and incapable of doing almost anything except starting a timer, doing a google search and playing pandora and those always feel like a struggle. The connect software doesn't connect. I have a whole set of appliances that can't reliably talk to the fridge, which is supposed to be a hub. Pandora stops playing because it says we've skipped too many songs after we've skipped none and we have to reboot to fix it. I can't install the samsung apps on any of my phones because they all run lineage and some clown at samsung decided that makes them a security risk (??). All the appliances look fantastic and when I sell the house, they'll stay and I'll buy better stuff for the next house. The hardware is OK but the software is all around bad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3 month old and main display out and not cold tale of 2 fridges. first 2 months great. now display is out and not getting cold. i have samsung products all over my house and in spite of the spotty reviews i went with it ... please samsung don't make me regret this purchase. would i recommend this product ... at this time i would have to say no.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Refridgerator, Tablet Sub Par The best part of the tablet on the refridgerator is the photos slideshow and it will notify you via Samsung smart things app if the door if left open. It has Spotify integration but you can’t select music and play it through other home speakers, rather it requires us to use a separate device to send music to the refridgerator. Very few apps so overall the tablet isn’t very useful but it’s appearance is 5 Star. Refridgerator and freezer are great! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

The ice maker ices over every month and creates a back up that I need to defrost by turning off fridge cooling and emptying out all the food and letting the iceberg melt. ALSO there is a known issue with the cameras not working for the "inside view", mine hasn't worked in over a year. I don't understand why Samsung hasn't fixed the camera issue that so many people are having.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You cannot install Youtube or any additional apps on it. I imagined this would be running Android to be able to get anything form the play store. WRONG. Things you should know and Samsung wont tell you on their Ad. * This runs on TIZEN OS for which I still have not figured out how to install apps. There sure is internet app and you would go to mobile you tube website but the resolution is worst to watch any videos unless the video is super grade. * Cameras to view inside are only for the upper deck. Not the bottom two. * Also the space on the racks attached to the 3 of of the doors are practically useless.. Very tight to even fit a family size ketchup bottle. Only the top right one has the real world humanly practical racks other than that the racks on the other doors are for kids kitty party store flight size wine bottles. finger prints stay out that is a good. But you still will have FP's on the bright steel handle parts on the door for sure. yeh!!

The ice maker is worthless. Designed terribly, so that it clogs constantly because there is not enough room to dump the ice into the tray, which is useful for only a one person household.

So i Jumped in the bandwagon of a Samsung 4 doors with a flex zone about a year ago. the first one didn't have a tablet and it was just a very expensive, shiny hot box, wouldn't make much ice... a nightmare of a fridge once the top part stop cooling/working. moving forward. this second fridge is even more shiny but even more useless... ice maker worked, if you're never home and you never really need more than 2 cups of ice a day (not 10 lbs as advertised at first). and then the ice maker started to give up. Ok no problem, technicians came and replaced, fridge went back to its low making amount of ice. Not even a week later, 2 DAYS BEFORE HARVEY HIT HOUSTON, THE WHOLE fridge stopped cooling ( not just the top part, leaving me the freezer and the flex zone to work with), THE WHOLE , SHINY BEAUTIFUL FRIDGE. Ok so, now the technicians in my area have been trying to work with it, tell me the thing should work now but with no luck. been around a month of having my hopes up, fill it up with food and the thing keeps not being able to work!!!! I gave them two chances and they are a nightmare... I hope I do not scare you ... If you have the money and really do not care, buy this thing... is absolutely gorgeous and your family and friends will probably talk about it. when it stops working they will definitely talk about it, you will be the life of the party.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smart House The Samsung 3-Door refrigerator is probably by far the best refrigerator i have owned. To be honest, i have never owned a fridge with a giant tablet built-in to the door and on top of that, it has cameras on the inside, so you never have worry about what in your refrigerator when you are out shopping and need to know if your out of milk. Just open your samsung connect app, click on the fridge and bam take a look inside your refrigerator from anywhere on your phone. Just like that, its that easy. This fridge is just awsome. The family hub center on the fridge is just amazing. Its full of different apps, you can access the internet, play pandora, youtube videos, ring video door bell, uber, many more features and boasts a pretty nice speaker. I must admit, i am very impressed by this refrigerator and very sleek looking black stainless steel option. The interior of the fridge is pretty spacious, and has multiple, movable and retractable trays. The fridge employs a twin cooling system, so basically the top portion has its own sperate cooling system from the freezer, which allows you to set a different temperature for each section. After my thorough usage of this fridge, i found only one thing that i believe samsung could improve upon. The ice maker or the "Ice Master" is a very sluggish and sort of a messy system. It feels like it takes forever to fill a cup of ice and when you try to use the crushed ice feature, it just throws ice eveywhere. So, in short, i think Samsung should really improve this feature of this refrigerator. My overall experience with this fridge has been great and im definetly in love with the product, especially the family hub center, which by the way my kids enjoy as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb I love this new fridge. Voic controllable Music and Volume. Voice recipes hands free. Voice shopping lists to your phone. Outstanding. 3 cameras cool but cannot see doors or freezer. You can even order your groceries from it. One complaint I read was person could only raise or lower music volume by 1 number each time by voice - not true tell it what number between 1-15 to set volume level at works great or just say pause to mute. Ice is a little slow to fill, but it always works. Setup was easy and the little bit of confusion to keep setting up was all my own techless savvy issue. It worked fine. Had to get a different coupler for the water line. My only complaint is that I have to open both doors to access the meat and cheese deli drawer. Make it two halves so you can open one door per drawer at a time. Otherwise, it’s really amazing and is truly our family hub for calendar scheduling which links to your families phones, pictures and drawing notes. My kids draw thank you’s and love me everyday for meals etc. Awesome timesaver or waster at first cause everybody wants to play with it from a single dad with two girls! Thanks Samsung you rocked this idea!

This is a common problem with most of Samsung's refrigerators and they have not seemed to fix the problem. The water line is plastic and can be pinched very easily causing no water/ice.

Besides those great features - the size of the fridge and freezer are a very good size. More than enough room to finish everything. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Frig So Far We bought our 28 cu. ft 4 dr flex Samsung in October 2018. We have not had any issues so far. We love the way it keeps everything fresh longer and the huge tablet on the door has spoiled us. Easy access to photos, pinterest, music and 100 other things. The things that I don't like is that it is NOT fingerprint resistant and the frig is easily dinged if something lightly hits it. We have 2 small dings on the side of the door and one on the edge of the inside. Coating/she'll is not durable. Luckily these dings are not very noticeable because of where they are. I have told my all male family members to treat the frig like an uncooked egg. I did purchase the 3 year extended warranty after reading the negative reviews about the ice maker. We use ours every day and no issues. Thanks Samsung!

From YouTube videos, the weather app, the shared calendar, and the inside fridge camera, this unit has more features than any other fridge that you will find. Can't have too much tech in my house. Plus cools very quickly after loading fridge and freezer.. Highly recommend this product!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ice Maker is a real problem (slow, small) I like this fridge - a lot - however, I live in Arizona and drink a lot of water. In a household of only TWO people, the ice bin was empty at 10 this morning. That was three large glasses of water, half filled with ice. I have had the fridge for about a month and I question whether the bin has ever completely filled, but I can promise it has completely emptied just about every day. I use power freeze overnight to try to get it full, but still always run out. If you use ice on a daily basis I would not recommend this model. The storage bin is just too small, and the ice is not made quickly enough. We will be struggling without ice for the rest of today, as we so often do. The other negative is that Pandora only worked the first time we used it. Never since. Otherwise, I like the look and the design and the hub.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ice Build-up I like the style of this french door refrigerator with the freezer drawer on bottom. The problem is the ice build-up behind the twin cooling fan in the main refrigerator. Once a month, I have to defrost the refrigerator so my ice-maker will work, and so the twin cooling fan will be able to turn. The stainless steel covering on the bottom of the freezer drawer has started to deteriorate after a year of use. I've had a Samsung technician come to the farm who said it was a switch problem, but even after replacing the switch he referred to, I had ice build-up within a month. After watching the technician take out the screws to fix it, I now know how to do it myself.. I like the design, and use of space, but the ice problem is a hassle. Maybe we just got a lemon, but next time, I'll look at the reviews more carefully.

You will get to chip ice every week and there is not really a fix for it. Read other reviews on the web before purchasing they will tell you the same thing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks Great, Has Issues Overall appearance of this product is great. The dynamics of the display look amazing, but are not practical. The Family Hub user interface is extremely limited and updates are few and far between. The calendar is unusable because nothing populates in it, even when connected to the account; is far too technical to attempt to use (requires a degree from MIT to use). While the bluetooth connection is great and will connect to a samsung TV for mirroring, the music and video apps drop off constantly. The applications for creating a grocery list are equally pointless because the program is only accessible on a mobile device that has the Samsung Family Hub app and it takes FOREVER to connect and update. The depth of the fridge blocks any realistic view of the inside using the cameras and they are not panoramic images. The only really great things about the display is the controls for the fridge and freezer, and the ability to have a screen saver that displays photos that can be uploaded and saved (through the difficult to navigate app). Functionality of the fridge and freezer are what most look for in a fridge. The ice maker takes up a large portion of the side area where taller things would go, so that area is limited and can be aggravating. As for the ice maker itself? I would suggest searching "Samsung Refrigerator Family Hub Ice Maker Problems" and see for yourself this product is NOT recommended. They are having tons of problems with the ice maker housing freezing, motor running but ice won't dispense, and several other types of problems. Ultimately, I enjoy Samsung products and was extremely excited about this product when I got it. Eight months into owning it, I will say that I wasted my money. The best things this model has to offer is a screen saver on the display and a modular fridge/freezer in the lower right compartment.
