Rated 5 out of 5 by from Samsung TV Always My First Choice [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought this tv to replace my previous Samsung TV which was at least 10 years old. It was still working fine just wanted a bigger one. Samsung offers their own TV service similar to cable which I love and free of charge. Can even get it on Samsung phones now. My TV is crystal clear and has a nice set of built in speakers with nice sound and base. Only thing is it only has 2 HDMI ports and I was used to have 3 or 4 but the two will suffice. The smart features allows me access to all my streaming services so that's a plus. Overall I've never been disappointed with Samsung products.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful Picture, Terrible Interface i got this tv to replace a 10 year old television that stopped working. it seems liked a great option, and it has really good reviews. i understand with any newer tv model there's a learning curve to adjust to menu layouts and quirky brand features. however, the awkwardness and confusing design of the app menu layout; the incredibly slow, lagged and often over compensated menu scroll speed; and "smart" features like the one to reopen the last app didn't work. i gave this tv over 15 days to convince me it was for me, but i eventually decided that i couldn't handle the laggy menu and traded it in for a different brand of tv.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4 stars all day it is extremly hard for me to give 5 stars for anything because everything can be improved on and this 7 series samsung is no different. it is a great tv and setup is fairly easy but i have to agrree with others that the remote needs some improvement. first the instuctions constantly refer to the ok button and there is not an ok button so trial and error places it between the 4 directional arrows. the apps don’t function as they should upon the inital setup. there are many features that samsung needs to examin in that area. the set is a great set and the 65” that i got has a really good, not great picture. i do not regret my purchase and other than the remote i’m happy with my purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great picture, but freezes A LOT! i've had this tv about 2 months. the picture is great, but the tv freezes a lot...especially when switching between sources inputs. i route all audio/video sources in to my yamaha rx-v565 a/v receiver, and have a single hdmi output cable to the tv. however, when switching between sources on the yamaha, the tv will freeze. i've used this yamaha receiver for years with other samsung tvs and never had this problem until i this one. the only way i've found to recover the "frozen" tv (without pulling the plug) is to hold the power button on the remote for about 3-5 seconds. that will sort reboot the tv. this is very annoying to have to do every single day! i have the latest firmware, but still the issue persists. samsung, please fix this!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing picture is good. software/interface is a huge disappointment. i was hoping to not have to use a box of any kind but will have to go back to apple tv. the smart hub is so bad that when you turn the tv on it will only default to their smasung channels which blasts some nonesene game shows or bad tv. i use youtube tv for programmining and have to go in and load each time which is slow. app tiles are small and hard to distinguish which app is highlighted. i have a tcl with roku tv that was cheaper, runs faster, has a much better interface with infinately more configuration, etc. really expected more from samsung. i just picture a group of design people sitting around a presentation of this “smart hub” interface and being impressed enough to approve it....wow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great TV for an amazing price [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this TV over a year ago when I was moving cities, wanted a big screen without having to expend the premium cost on it. I'm highly surprise by the quality of the TV specially for what I paid for. The images is high quality even when playing video games and the sound is perfect for a small apartment. The extra channels that Samsung provides are a plus since we don't pay for cable but can access it for free. Overall great purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wireless Connection Problems had the tv for a week without issue and was relatively happy until i started experiencing a wireless connection issue ("mac address is invalid."). my wifi connection was fine (strong on all other devices), but the tv was completely unable to detect my (or any other) wireless router as it had during setup. i tried all the troubleshooting i could find online, but it seems to be a known defect with certain units that may or may not ever go away for the life of the tv. after trying to connect again for another hour it eventually detected my router again for about two minutes before the error quickly returned, at which point i made the easy call to return it for a different brand that won't require a lucky dice roll any time i want to watch tv. obviously a very frustrating outcome.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from TV is fine, software is not. bought the tv almost one year ago to the day (nov 30th, 2020). the tv is now stuck and say it needs updated by a usb drive. i've tried over and over to put the current firmware onto a usb drive and to get it to repair or reboot and apply it. no luck and samsung support hasn't been able to help so far. pretty annoying that a firmware update that should be taking place in the background somehow is corrupt? can't even change inputs to roku or a game system.
