Had to return itI was happy with it when I got it especially with the great video quality at its price point. This tv was to be mainly used by my elderly parents. I really wanted to love it, however, I was not aware that it would not work with the Xfinity app and that it doesn’t have its own web browser. The web browser that was downloaded wasn’t up to par against webOS on my LG tv. I like that it had a dedicated YouTube button, which my parents often use. All in all, it’s a good tv which probably has a workaround for my gripes, but I didn’t have the patience to go about it at the time. I’ll definitely pick up another model in the future.

Could use written instructionsThe TV has more features than we really need. We are pleased that we have been able to hook up cable, OTA antenna, and a DVR with not a lot of trouble. However, it would have been much easier had the TV come with an instruction book like previous TVs we've owned. The connection for the DVR not being the standard three white, yellow, red, RCA jacks set us back some. It seems that the jack required is not that easy to find. Again, my biggest complaint is the lack of instruction book. I didn't even find a PDF version let alone a printed one in the box. Having to page through settings with nothing more than a TV remote and no idea if what I want to do is available does not make setup easy.

Sony Does It AgainWe have owned several Sony TVs over the years and have loved every one of them. Our latest purchase the X80J 4K Ultra HD 75" tv is amazing. We were a little hesitant to purchase, because of the amazing price...seemed too low for a Sony TV. We are AMAZED at the quality of this TV. The picture is fantastic...very clear with bright colors and deep black. The smart aspect was very easy to setup and use...even for us "older" folks. The sound was better than we expected too. I would highly recommend this affordable TV

A Let DownLet me first say the picture quality is fine. However, playing from USB, it does not recognize some of my sticks, most content stutters, if it plays at all. It seems to have the most issues with H.265 encoded 4K, though others have issues as well, I guess it has a poor CPU in it. It should be said all of this works on my old Samsung 7000 from 3 years ago and my NVIDIA shield which is even older. It, shockingly, also keeps muting my Sony STR-850 receiver. Thoroughly disappointed.
I have switched back to using my shield and running everything through the STR-850 and disabling everything I can on this TV. It at least makes a good monitor.

Built in Google TV[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Owning many Sony products in the past, I knew this would be a great TV, the best part is that it has screen mirroring and Google TV built in, with many apps like HULU, Disney, Netflix, YouTube and etc... The remote control is easy to use and has a voice feature to ask google any question or launch apps. Screen is very bright and has excellent 4K picture quality. The TV was ready to use right out of the box, easy as just putting in the legs and power cord and turn it on. I highly recommend this TV if your in the market for a new one.

Love this TV![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I love the Sony X80J. The setup was easy and the tv just clicked into the stand without any screwing. The tv itself is really light compared to other TVs at just 34 pounds.
Set up was simple with the google tv feature. All you have to do is scan the QR code with your google home app and it’s set up!
The picture quality is excellent. The colors are vibrant and the picture is sharp.
Comes with a large remote that is easy to find and use. The remote also has one touch buttons to you tube, Netflix, Disney+, and prime which is convenient.

Amazing![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color quality is fantastic. I love that I have several preset picture options and I can make other adjustments if I want. The sound from this television is also a bonus. This is the best sounding one I have ever owned. It sounds like the sound is coming from all over. This is wonderful. I like that the television can adjust the brightness of the picture by itself. This television is so smart. I did have to upgrade my wifi box to a higher model but that was expected. All in all this is a wonderful, high quality television that I will be enjoying for a long time.

Very Happy with PurchaseI've had my TV now for a few months and have been very happy. My last TV was a Bravia that lasted longer than any TV I've owned so I'm hoping the same with this one. I had an issue with WiFi connectivity and the Sony support line was AMAZINGLY helpful and convenient. They even remoted in to my TV to make sure I had the latest software. Such great service. The picture is wonderful and so its the sound. It was super easy to set up. My only issue (and it's not Sony's fault) is that Google Play does not offer a native app for Direct TV Stream so I have to cast to the TV from another device rather than have it available right on the TV. A minor inconvenience.
