Rated 3 out of 5 by Gingerbel from Ice build-up on top freeze [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my Whirlpool refrigerator for five months, and I should have reported this problem months ago. There is always a build-up of ice in the top freezer. I do not open the door often, and I never leave it open very long. An appliance technician took a look at this on May 28, 2020, and said that it is common with the new refrigerators. This is terrible! My 24-year-old Amana refrigerator never had this problem. I wanted to update my "old white" frig for a new stainless steel. I was not having problems with my 24-year-old Amana. I am NOT HAPPY with the ice build-up. PLEASE HELP. What can be done?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grandma with7 from Perfect size and no protruding handles [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I marked performance and quality down only because we had to return the first refrigerator because the freezer wasn't freezing food solid and yet food on the top shelf of the refrigerator was totally freezing. We were hesitant to try again, but it was the perfect size and had no protruding handles. I loved the 3 drawers in the refrigerator and the shelf in the freezer. The next refrigerator has been perfect! The freezer works great and the refrigerator holds a constant temperature. My only concern is that the glass shelves seem thin so I've been afraid they will break with too much weight, but so far there's been no problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by El Vikingo from Poor quality for a Whirlpool product [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Basic refrigerator and no frills which I knew going into the purchase. I did not expect the craftsmanship to be as poor as it is. All of my home appliances are whirlpool and this is the first one I am disappointed with. Multiple areas that should have caps are left without showing exposed cut raw metal, styrofoam, and insulation. Protective plastic wrap that covers the stainless steel during manufacturing and transportation is trapped between edges and looks poor. Also several tiny holes throughout the inside walls with tiny insulation foam poking out and silicone clumps in edges. Functional it works fine but cosmetically it’s a mess.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Sharon Bertsch from So far okay [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this less than a week ago to replace the one the same model I bought the end of July 2019.....which had varies problems...that one I bought to replace the Whirlpool’ I bought in Sept 2017...which had factory defects which were not discovered until the warrant was over...I may be a fool to keep purchasing Whirlpool but am hoping this one which was replaced free of any charge will keep me happy for several years. I am 76 ..live alone so it’s not like it gets abused . Don’t have much faith in Whirlpool at this time. Can’t really give an accurate rating at this time...ask me in 2 years..right now the last two Whirlpool’s I have had were awful...poor workmanship and have cost me a lot.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mojo 786 from Lot's of Storage Space and Features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great storage space for a 28" wide refrigerator. Fits perfect for smaller condo kitchens. Small bottles can store in the rack on the bottom of the door. Freezer and produce drawer have temperature control mechanisms. Much quieter than my old hotpoint. Didn't need the icemaker. Front of door Not True Stainless Steel? Magnets should not stick to stainless steel, but they do on this door. Shelf locking design could be better. It can slide out when empty. But when heavy items are put on the shelves it does not slide out. So far very pleased with product. Will see if the front door will rust?

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shoegal from GREAT DESIGN [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this for a second refrigerator a few weeks ago. We needed this narrower size to fit through the door of the basement. It has a lot of usable freezer and refrigerator space for a 28 in wide. I had a larger, but similarly designed Whirlpool refrigerator in my last home for over 20 years (freezer on top!) and it was in tip top condition when I sold my house. It never gave me trouble and I was able to have many holidays and store a lot of food over the many years. I expect the same reliability from this refrigerator. Although this style of refrigerator is not in vogue now, I am a big fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JT Phillips from Happy Camper [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was recultant to purchase this refrigerator but I am soooo happy I did. I used the recommended settings and the freezer and refrig is just the perfect temperature and the sound level is so quiet I actually put my ear near it thinking it was not running. It is so quiet. I can have ice tea, cold brew coffee, orange juice, milk the list can go on forever it appears. The shelves hold everything of any size and hold with securely. Did I mention I love the deli meat compartment and the crispers are so big. Did I mention it is quiet soo quiet. It actually hummms - so cute. Yes I am a very happy camper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Egad -Alas from Ice tea is cold again [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good fridge- works much better than the old one that broke. This is a bare bones model- no fancy features- no ice maker- no water dispenser- no “smart” features ( unless there is a secret mic and speaker in the crisper, interrogating the cauliflower)- I hope this will give me at least a decade of service without the inexpensive stainless rusting like the last one- (not this brand)-when it fails I am sure that there will not be parts available as the manufacturers of appliances no longer find it in the interest of their stockholders to keep parts and service available to the end users.
