Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite dishwasher [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second time I have purchased this dishwasher, because we moved and I loved the first one so much! This one is slightly upgraded than the previous one but everything I love is still the same. It is spacious. There is plenty of room to add big pots, pans or even my crockpot in the bottom. I have plenty of room on the top to adjust the shelf if I need too. I love the way my dishes come out clean every single time and I don't have to worry about it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this because it was inexpensive. It seems no matter what brand dishwasher I buy, they break down shortly after the warranty expires. It seems no one can make a good appliance any more. All I can say for now is that it works. I have a Whirlpool refrigerator that is not very old. The temperature varies all the time, sometimes freezing food in the refrigerator compartment. The ice cube maker is very poorly designed. Cubes come out the front access area before they can hit the arm to tell the freezer to stop making cubes. Again, it works, but not as well as it should.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost great but not quite. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In general I am happy with the performance of our new dishwasher. I like the fact that I have the option of putting the silverware basket in the door to increase room for other dishes. However, there are two problems. One is that the door always seems wet when the cycle is done even though I use the hot air dry and everything else seems dry. Secondly I have trouble loading all our silverware in the basket due to the fact that a full half of the slots are too small for our silverware to fit. I am very happy I held onto the baskets from our previous GE machine as I sometimes have to use them in order to fit everything. All the slots should be like the larger ones. This is a definite design flaw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old dishwasher expired after 11 years. We bought this one and we are very happy with it. It is quieter than the old one and seems to get the dishes cleaner. We always use the normal cycle with heat dry. When finished we crack the door open for a few minutes to let the steam escape and the dishes are dry when we remove them. The only complaint I have is that I don't like the flatware basket on the door. I moved it to the side and I liked it better there. BUT the basket is too small. Thankfully, I saved the basket from the old dishwasher and put it on the side...Perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice washer - like the utincles in the door!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It replaced my 16 year old Whirlpool Dishwasher that had a Normal wash program Old D-washer problem of not emptying at the end - so it got replaced. New one fits in the same space, nice & quiet except for a low frequency mum!! It still shows WASH @ 1.39 on the clock? which I believe is really RINSE. Otherwise it seems to be a nice washer. A few more (only 2 so far to date) cycles and a few more and maybe it will show might show RINSE ?? Liked the old controls on the front rather than now on the top. Ease of installation - this is the 7th D-washer that I've ever installed!!! I'm 86 years young!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Generally favorable [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit is quite smart and user-friendly. For my purposes there could be rack accommodations for bowls, such as soup bowls, held at the correct angle for drainage. In the existing rack there are many spaces meant for saucers, but bowls in these spaces tend to tip over with their inner surfaces coming into contact with the prongs in front of them. Also, we have some large coffee mugs that do not fit between rows of prongs, once again leading to the situation in which prongs have to contact inner surfaces. These same shortcomings apply to other dishwashers we have seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet Black Beauty! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the second Whirlpool dishwasher I have purchased the first one I bought lasted over 20 years and almost the same features as the new one with some tweaks. This machine is very quiet a lot more quiet than the old model. I really like the controls located on top of the door the rinse aid dispenser is much better than the old model, it is a lot easier to fill and check to see if it needs to be refilled. The inside of the machine also seems to have more space than the older model. The price was reasonable considering the price of the one I purchased 20 years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Anyone can install this [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only been using mine for about 3 weeks now but I have no complaints. I was ready to use it the day I got with a sink full of dirty dishes. I completely loaded this thing almost to max and everything came out as expected, clean. My install was a new install, no previous dishwasher, and I found the instruction to be easy to follow. I had previously read them online before it arrived and had all hardware needed for my install, so no extra trips to get something.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Dishwasher [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this after my 17 year old Whirlpool quit working. It was a good dishwasher but this one is even better. The buttons are on top of the door but are very easy to use. It does take longer to complete a cycle but this is true on all of the dishwashers I looked at. My dishes are very clean and I can even tell a difference in my silverware. No more water spots! It is very quiet but I did have to get the installers back out because they had installed the upper sprayer arm incorrectly so it was hitting the back of the dishwasher. Since that's been fixed I can't hear it when it's running now. I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works just like it should [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had this dishwasher for over a month and it runs and cleans exactly like the description I read. I use the Cascade cleaning products-soap, rinse aid and just today bought the dishwasher cleaner product. It's much quieter than my other Whirlpool dishwasher but that one was 15 years old and still worked just got very loud. I have had no trouble with it being too wet inside after running. I just open the door and let it air dry for a while and all I have to do is dry the bottoms of the cups which I've always had to do with the other one. Have a black one and love the looks of it. We got a fabulous price on it and very happy with it. Would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and super quiet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher around a month ago and I love it! All my appliances have been and are whirlpool. My previous whirlpool dishwasher was over 12 years old and started having problems. I was reluctant to buy new but I'm so glad I bought this one. It was easy to install, has plenty of inside room for large loads and is so quiet. I also love that you can put the silverware tray on the door if you have a larger load than normal. My only complaint would be you need to heated dry cycle to get the dishes dry, but when I didn't use the heated dry cycle I would leave the door to the dishwasher open for a while before I put the dishes away and that worked great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly Clean [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher the early part of June. But had to wait a couple weeks to have it delivered. I was excited to finally have it ready to begin to use it. When the new washer completed all the cycles and I opened it up to remove the dishes I was amazed. They were incredibly clean! Noticeably much cleaner than my former dishwasher was able to do. Now after a month and a half the glassware, dishes, cutlery, and pots continue to come out sparkling clean. It is a joy to use knowing how efficient my Whirlpool dishwasher is and an additional bonus is how quietly it runs. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We're very happy with this dishwasher [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this for about 6 months now and overall are very pleased. The different cycle options are useful, and it gets the job done. It's quieter than our old Frigidaire, too. Our only minor quibble might be that sometimes the dishes aren't dried to the extent we'd like, even with the appropriate cycle options selected and plenty of rinse aid added, but again it's not a big deal. Keep in mind if your counters extend out any you may want to consider the version with front facing controls- ours do, and it's hard to read the settings and know what you've selected. But that's our problem. You can't go wrong here- there's a lot of value packed into what is a terrific and affordable appliance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought for utensil door basket, but long cycle I got this in white as a replacement for a 12 yr old Whirlpool, that had a door utensil basket. I would rather open that tray door and take silver out by handles rather than grab forks/spoons/knives by the top/blades. So it's good in that respect, only thing is this was only a few of the d/w with the door tray and it has top controls and a handle. Had to get used to that. There's no quick rinse cycle on this d/w. The normal cycle & dry take almost 3 hours, so I sometimes use the 1-hour cycle & dry which is about 1-1/2 hrs and it cleans good. It's not too noisy. And lastly, the vent hole is in the top front and there's so much condensation, that the paint is peeling off and rusting underneath. This started happening after about 5 months.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great machine [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the dishwasher about a month and ago and have used it about 8 times already. Only my husband and myself in home, so dishes dont pile up a lot. I love how clean it gets our dishes compared to the old washer, and how quiet it is compared as well. I do have an issue washing wine glasses with it. Theres not a space where they dont tip over, and I'm afraid they will break with their delicacy. A normal cycle takes 3 hours, which I found to be a little extreme, but it does over a 1 hour wash. I have not tried it yet though. If I need something washed that fast, I can do it by hand. Over all i love the washer and it is very easy to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mich quieter than our last dishwasher! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this dishwasher about a year. The big selling point fore was reduced noise (our previous whirlpool dishwasher lasted 20 years!) and I have been very happy with that feature. The only major downside I have seen is that the liquid detergent leaks onto the silverware and doesn't wash off. We probably are loading the silverware basket too full, though. Also, oroginally, I wasn't a fan of not having fold up and down plate/pot holders on the bottom. But there are wider edges that fit our saute pans, and I found I like it better than the fold up and down style - I can fit more. I hope this helps! I, personally, would only ever buy a whirlpool dishwasher - they have been very reliable for us.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Barely Dries There is always condensation left after using the heat dry. Plastic items are covered in soap film, so I don't put them in anymore. Silverware is always wet. I used pods and liquid soap forms with no changes. I Have jet dry in the dispenser. Still horrible at drying and leaving film on plastic items. I had another whirlpool washer at my other home installed 2013, that one gave me no issues, it was cheaper. This one installed January 2018, does not dry well and leaves film. Would not suggest buying this one for the price. My in-laws have the same one at there home and does the same thing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Whorlpool [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We moved in our new house Aug. 2019 dishwasher runs great but just recently stopped working. called service they stated the pump motor or something in that nature went out and would order one and should come in; in 3-4 days. its been over 2 weeks now and still have received anything. repair man stated the this is common due to the parts are cheap plastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I need [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A new purchase about 3 weeks ago. Love the large capacity inside, love the eating utensil basket in the door, the basket comes with pull down lids that have slots for the silverware, but our handles are a little large for the slots, so we just don't put the lids down, and all the utensils stay in the basket and come out clean. It has a 1-hour cycle that I use a lot since I rinse dishes before loading. The top control panel can be seen underneath the countertop when the door is closed and I can see what cycle the washer is in, and I can see the word CLEAN after the cycle completes, it stays on until the door is opened. This thing is QUIET, what a change from our old model. Fingerprint resistant stainless, looks great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Quiet! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was well past time to replace my 20 yo dishwasher. I practically had to hand wash the dishes before I would put them in the dishwasher because if I didn't the food would get baked on. I kick myself for waiting so long to replace it. This dishwasher is awesome. I love the utensil holder on the door as it gives more rack room for dishes. I have to confess I am a lousy dishwasher loader. This is a genetic flaw. My loading technique never looks like the manufacturer instructions. And you know what....no matter how crazy I place the dishes they all come out sparkling clean and completely dry. It is so quiet that I have to place my hand on the door to make sure it it running when I press start. Way to go Whirlpool!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Quiet and efficient [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this dishwasher approximately one month. We run it at night and it is very quiet. Cleans dishes very well (scraped out or not), dishes and glasses come out dry and the inside of dishwasher has plenty of room per arrangement of racks. Inside color is something that we like also, a med-to-dark gray color. I gave "design" and "features" both four stars, because the controls are on top of the door and door must be open to access controls. The door is also slightly difficult to open. I am hoping this is because it is still new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall Good [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love how quiet this dishwasher is. Disappointed completely in the configuration of the utensil rack. My former Kenmore slots were uniform in size. The new Whirlpool utensil rack is not designed well enough to accommodate utensils because of much too small openings. Also, while I am excited and support 100% items 'made in America" the seal that is attached cannot be removed without damaging the finish on the door. interferes with the sleek look!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Drying Challenge [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Whirlpool dishwasher does a fantastic job with washing the dishes. Even those dishes that still have a little bit of crud on them, the dishwasher is able to clean them. The only challenge we have seen thus far, is the dishwasher does not fully dry the dishes. We have changed the settings several times, and ensure that we have the drying agent also in the dishwasher, but there is still wet dishes after the heated drying sequence. We’ve had to use a dish towel to dry dishes. All in all, we have been happy with the dishwasher.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New features to learn! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our previous dushwasher just quit. We selected this Whirlpool machine with the control panel on topo of the door to save save bending over to the point your glasses wont work. (we are older, you know) and we were able to learn all of the options that were new to us. We work as a team in the kitchen, so we both try to be familiar with new appliances and equipment. We did find the silverware tray slots to be a little small for some of our tableware, otherwise we are having fun learning how to use our new Whirlpool dishwasher.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not what I expected [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purpose of a dishwasher: to help wash dishes, expending the least amount of time, electricity and water. This dishwasher does not achieve that. Takes 3 hours for a normal cycle, and still leaves water on. The soap dispenser cover keeps detaching every times it's run. Quiet enough, so that's not an issue. Features are basic which is good, I'm not buying a dishwasher to fly a plane. Capacity is decent. We'll see about overall reliability and quality over time. But based on the soap dispenser lid, the future doesn't look bright.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adequate Performance [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It does what it is supposed to do, but I would make some minor improvements. When you want to add an item after starting the cycle it requires you to restart the cycle and then wait while it pumps down. Better just to resume where it was as you could with my old washer. Bottom dish rack moves very freely - so much so that dishes are thrown around when the rack hits it's stop at the back of the washer. It would be better to change the rack design so that dishes could not roll when the rack hits it's stop - turn them 90 degrees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and quiet too [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this dishwasher about a month ago. It is both functional and looks good. It is easy to load and with its rack design holds a lot. It does a great job cleaning the dishes when bake stuffed. An addition is it runs very quiet; enough to hold a low level conversation while it is running.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the machine but... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the dishwasher but: -The plastic body is not great for keeping in the heat to dry dishes. -the cutlery rack keeps falling off. I had to permanently affix it with zip ties. -cannot figure out if the machine has a quick rince cycle for if you are a single person and dont switch on the machine everyday, but it has dirty dishes in it. Good features: -i like the packing space better than my previous machine -i like the handle bar -i like the hidden interface, but not sure yet how well it will hold up. Thanks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice feature [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had a Whirlpool dishwasher in my lake home for 25years & it still works great. I just purchased another Whirlpool dishwasher for our winter condo. I actually think the old one does a more consistent good job. I love the utensil bin in the door but it doesn’t pay to overload it. It does take an exceptionally long time for a normal load (3hrs) to do a good job. I tried the 1 hour wash but found food particles on some dishes.
