Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pain to install, but a fantastic machine. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After the racks on my 27 year old Whirlpool finally started to fall apart I decided to upgrade. This machine is much quieter than the old one, and the dishes come out much cleaner. I did not really care about whether it took longer due to efficiency as it still offers a 1-hour-wash as an option. I will say however that the installation was a bit of a pain as the drain and feed lines now connect to the front of the washer, thankfully I did not need to make any alterations, but I did need to install the washer beneath my counter prior to hookup, contrary to the directions. Besides that, I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleans like a Boss! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this dishwasher for about 4 weeks and we are amazed at how well it cleans. We no longer have to pre-rinse our plates, and we have even put glass bakeware in after making casseroles and to our surprise they have come out spotless. Furthermore, our previously cloudy glassware is now clear as a bell after being washed in our new dishwasher. The only issue is that there was no door handle included. 3 1/2 weeks after reporting this warranty issue and I still don't have a handle. Also takes more than 1/2 hour to get through on the warranty phone number.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does its job well! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 3rd Whirlpool dishwasher, I like them, they seem to wash the dishes well so that’s a plus! The previous two I had were basic models, this time we got the stainless interior & I like that. I also like that the silverware trays are two small baskets that you can lift out, makes putting silverware away much easier! Our last whirlpool dishwasher worked well for 4 years until the pumps broke & it’s over half the cost of a new dishwasher to replace the pumps, so we just opted to buy a new one. I hope this one lasts longer, from reviews I’ve read that’s the most common complaint about whirlpool dishwashers - the pumps quit working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great controls to run dishwasher and very quiet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought Whirlpool Dishwasher and Refrigerator back in September. I was told first the Whirlpool Refrigerator was on back order so asked for the dishwasher to be delivered. I am very pleased and satisfied with the dishwasher. Does excellent job of cleaning and drying dishes along with pots and pans. I would highly recommend to anyone shopping for a dishwasher. You will not be disappointed! I am totally disappointed as the next call received was told Whirlpool 19.7 Refrigerator was no longer available with water and ice on outside of door but could have model with ice maker inside refrigerator. Needless to say I canceled the order am will continue shopping for refrigerator.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Going backward! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We're in our 3rd Whirlpool dishwasher in about 30 years. Each one we like less than the previous one. The latest one has racks that do not roll easily and no way to lube or improve their operation. The geometry of the door spring is such that when opening, it quickly drops but won't stay completely open because the spring is too tight. The racks are not designed to be loaded as efficiently as the older ones. The cycle time is extremely long but probably must be to meet "energy star" requirements. On the plus side, they have all been very reliable and quiet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Night and day [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So about 4 years ago we bought a matching GE dishwasher and micro...fast fwd, to 2018 the dishwasher flooded my kitchen for what unknown rsn. That being said we just bought a whirpool cabrio W&D, LOVE IT. So we purchased the whirpool dishwasher. Its so quiet and has a multitude of settings, but not too many so that your WTF. Very pleased, and would reccomend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent features! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using the Whirlpool Dishwasher with Fan Dry for two weeks and are pleased with the product. The adjustable basket height adds versatility, while the well designed water arms ensure the water hits everything. The result is clean dishes. However, cleanliness was not our only concern when purchasing this dishwasher. Another aspect was the noise level. Our home has an open floor plan with the kitchen, and dishwasher, located in the center. The operational noise level is definitely within the acceptable range. Overall, we are pleased with our choice, and would recommend this Whirlpool dishwasher to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dishwasher [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really like our new whirlpool dishwasher .We like the stainless steel door . The dishwasher seems sturdier than our previous dishwashers . It certainly cleans the dishes better than our previous dishwashers . The glasses are sparkling clean . We like the heaviness of the door . My husband says he likes the cutlery caddies. Our previous dishwashers did not have that. However he would like it to have more holes to put knives and spoons in as we always seem to have a lot of cutlery that needs to be washed . We are hoping to win a new whirlpool appliance !!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice features, Quiet, Trouble drying completely [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dishwasher was installed three weeks ago and I still can’t figure out the settings to completely dry the dishes. We don’t want to use a rinse because we don’t want to put more chemicals on our dishes and utensils. How can this dishwasher dry the dishes without using the rinse? We had a 20 year old Admiral dishwasher with no fan and all the dishes came out perfectly dry and clean. Don’t use this review if you don’t want to that’s fine. Please contact me with a solution or we’re probably going to say that it’s a faulty machine and try to get my money back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the Job [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've been using this Dishwasher for a couple of weeks now. It does a good job of doing what it's supposed to. There's still some sort of new car smell that I'm hoping will eventually dissipate. Machine is quiet, but the wash cycle seems rather long, at least as compared to our previous DW. It seems to hold a fair amount but the interior arrangement seems like it's been designed by someone who rarely loads a family's real dirty dish load. Overall it's doing what we want a DW to do, and doing it well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meets my expectations [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used the dishwasher for a couple of weeks. It is very quiet and has gotten the dishes very clean. They are nicely dried and too hot to put away for a brief time but a clear indication of how clean they are. I only remove large particles from the dishes before loading and purposefully do not rinse. So far wonderful results. The directions point out that the normal wash cycle while long, it is the most efficient cycle. the slower process uses less energy. I have not tried the 1 hour wash cycle yet. Bottom line, I am very happy with this unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good features [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher has some nice features. Most importantly, the dishwasher is relatively quiet compared to the machine it replaced. The quiet running machine allows us to turn the machine and remain in the kitchen to talk, etc. In the past, we’d turn the machine on and escape the kitchen to avoid the racket. We did have a problem with the upper rack when one of the rollers broke. We called Whirlpool and scheduled a service call which is covered by the warranty. Apparently, the rack roller is a common problem and Whirlpool has an upgraded replacement part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good Luck [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, the first unit arrives and is installed. As soon as it was powered up, the fill valve started pouring water into the kitchen floor! Called Whirlpool the next day, and after dealing with their abysmal customer service, I was notified no technicians would be available to come out and look at the unit until the whole Covid thing cleared up. After arguing for another hour or so, they finally agreed to send me a replacement unit as a "one time courtesy." Two weeks later, the new unit shows up. Yes, mechanically, it works. But items have already started breaking on it and I already had two warranty claims for replacement parts for a dishwasher that has been in service for three weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to wait for this on special order, but it was worth it. It has controls on the top so it is sleek and easy to keep clean. I did find that if you don't run it every day you need to at least rinse and hold because it smells readily and food crusts and won't come off unless you run the Normal Cycle. I prefer the 1 Hour Cycle unless I hav company. The wine glass holders are really nice to keep your stemware in place. The top rack is tall enough to put all my glasses in, which wasn't the case with my last dishwasher. I really wanted a more quiet one as the old one was so noisy I couldn't hear music over it. I don't even hear this one unless I am standing at the kitchen sink next to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Dishwasher! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced our old GE dishwasher, which was 19 years old (builder grade), with this Whirlpool Dishwasher. What a difference! Our old dishwasher made the entire kitchen sound like we were at Niagara Falls. This one is so quiet, my son opened it up to put something in it and didn't even realize it was on. And the dishes come out super clean and the glasses and silverware sparkle. We are extremely pleased with this product. We also recently purchased a Whirlpool stove to replace a Samsung stove (which was awful). We love Whirlpool and will only purchase Whirlpool products going forward. Happy to be part of the Whirlpool family!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely different ! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dishwasher to replace an old Maytag that was expressing its own personality. I like the way it loads and am still learning how to efficiently load the top rack. I do personally object to the black interior and had I realized that it was black it would have been a deal breaker. It will take some getting used to. I am definitely over 65 and want to be able to see what is where. It loads similarly to my old Maytag that was in the house when we purchased it 12 years ago. My friend has the same model and loves it. Sometimes there is water at the base of the door when I hope in hours after the washing cycle is completed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very quiet! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few months ago & other than the fact that I had to install it myself & am going to have to have someone come out & fix it into my cabinet, it's been great. The only complaint I have is that you have no one to come out & install, & the brackets you give to hold the dishwasher in are extremely flimsy & broke immediately! But the dishwasher does a spectacular job & I can hardly hear it when I'm standing right next to it! My old dishwasher was a GE. It was older, but always noisy & did a poor job of cleaning! I also had white streaks & scum on all my glasses. The Whirlpool is removing years of built up scum on my glasses!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Three issues [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do like my new dishwasher a great deal, but compared to the old one the place for cups and glasses is a little narrower so many of my items ended up harder to place in the dishwasher. Likewise the place for bowls is different and as a result I can put fewer of each in the dishwasher. Finally, it took some learning (is that what the instructions are for!!) to discover that when a last second item is added after the dishwasher has started it is necessary to push the start button again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Average for the money. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher works fine. Not really noisy at all. Not a lot of features, but we tend to use the same one all the time. The only thing I don't like is the time length to do a good clean and heat dry--3-1/2 hours! So we usually use the one hour cycle. The one thing that surprised us is the handle. While that was a feature we liked, when it was installed, it interfered with our drawers coming out all the way. So be careful where you install it with this kind of handle. Our builder was able to move the drawer over slightly, but it is tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dishes fit into dishwasher and they get clean! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was purchased in April. I like that I can get a lot of dishes in the dishwasher and they come out clean. What I would change is how the handle is attached to the front door. Due to the angle of the handle there is a place that is a dust/dirt collector. Also, I like that the dishwasher is an American company - does that mean that it is entirely manufactured in USA? And then there is the large circle on the outside bottom of the door stating an American company. Hmmmmm!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good dishwasher [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works very well. We bought it a month ago. The thing I didn’t know was that it takes at least 3 hours in average to complete a cycle. There is one setting which says 1 hour; but I’ve not used it yet. Usually we just turn on after dinner or at bedtime and have not needed to have the dishes cleaned in a hurry. Plenty room for silverware & spatulas, etc. Be sure to loosen any stuck on foods because heavy wash won’t be powerful enough to remove it. If you remove all you can of stuck in foods then soak pans for an hour before washing; they’ll usually get completely clean. It is very nice looking outside and in. Very quiet running.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Clean is OK, but the dry cycle is not. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased a new house in September 2020 and the builder installed all Whirlpool appliances. As on Feb. 2021, the dishwasher is the only appliance that has not had a service call - YET. But, as stated in the headline, the dry cycle is not. But the appliance is named "dishwasher" and not "dryer". It's sad that Whirlpool has lost its quality. At one time it was a "flagship" in the industry. I know in new construction the builders use low priced appliances but had I known of these problems, I would've asked for a credit and bought my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Operate, Solidly Built, and a Workhorse! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I personally installed this dishwasher in our kitchen a few weeks ago. We have since put it to the test with varying levels of washing including the 1 hour wash thru to the heavy duty wash (3 plus hours). So far, this dishwasher has done a remarkable job! All of the dishes have come out very clean and dry (except for on the 1 hour wash...the dishes are clean but partially wet and we have to finish drying the dishes by hand). I find this dishwasher to be as advertised, very quiet, and well built. To date, this Whirlpool dishwasher has surpassed our expectations and we are satisfied with the purchase and we look forward to many years of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this earlier this month. I smile every time think of it!! Very pretty, so quiet, spacious, awesome cleaner. I bought more of the Cascade Platinum Actionpacks like those that had been included with my appliance, also, to extend my enjoyment. Only "problem": I would have liked a couple of more small plastic tier pieces. What I did to solve that problem was to add two removable tier pieces from my just-replaced machine, and voila! Excellent machine now in every way! This considerably increased the versatility and capacity of my machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great except for the utensil racks. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our Whirlpool Dishwasher Model: WDT7030PAHB I installed this dishwasher a few months ago our 15 year old + Whirlpool dishwasher had just worn out due to being used many times. We decided to purchase another Whirlpool dishwasher. This Whirlpool Dishwasher Model: WDT7030PAHB has been good at cleaning the dishes and utensils. We thought that 1 hour of 3 hour choices for time needed a 2 hour setting. We found the 2 utensils’ racks to be a bit more demanding than we need as each spoon fork etc. had to be placed in a slot so they would be separated for better cleaning not laying next to each other like our older model dishwasher. We tried removing one of the tops on one of the utensil racks so our tongs and other cooking tools could fit in the rack but they had too large of a space and the divider did not come to the top of the rack and items would more or less be able to lay on each other not getting clean all the time. We still had our old utensil rack from our last dish washer and put it on the left side of the new dish washer and found it fit and works just as well as it had in our old dishwasher. Our old rack had divisions it in that were taller and held items more straight up and down for better washing. We like the new model as well as the old but prefer the old utensil rack over the new more engineered design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine; however I've had my Whirlpool dishwasher for several years, and I have no complaints about its function or dependability. My one complaint, however, is the utensil holder. I can only put small spoons using the back slots, and steak knives if I point them down on the front row...the other two rows are useless. And, for all designated compartments, the silverware can't stand... they wind up lying sideways, and sometimes they fall completely to the bottom of the basket. I've suffered a long time, but being under virus "house arrest," I now have the time to write! I'm hoping there is a solution.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from “Heated dry” doesn’t work [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wouldn’t buy it again. The most energy- and water-saving cycle takes 3+ hours, mostly because it soaks rather than spraying new water the entire time — fine by me. BUT, the “heated dry” at the end of the cycle never works. I wake up, open the dishwasher to get my coffee mug, and it is always still wet! This got very annoying, so we now use the “1 Hour” wash cycle (much less energy-efficient and uses more water) without a dry cycle, then open the dishwasher before bed so it can air dry overnight. Not being able to use the full functionality of the dishwasher is disappointing. However, 5 months of daily use and I haven’t had any other problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and Washes Thoroughly [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I waited a month to write a review so I could thoroughly try it out. It is the quietest dishwasher I’ve ever had and it cleans the best on high temp and high scrubbing settings. It has the longest wash cycle of any dishwasher, too! Nearly 4 hours?!? But I read the booklet that explains the efficacy and efficiency of this type of cycle. It also has a one hour cycle, fan dry and several features I have not yet explored. It looks fabulous and the racks work well with good configuration. I am enjoying this dishwasher now and hope it will fully earn it’s five star rating by lasting many years, as a couple of other dishwashers I’ve owned have lasted.
