[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this 16cu ft upright freezer about a month ago, when a caterer friend ordered 1000 Lumpias. We need a big storage freezer that will freeze the lumpias overnight. The capacity of the freezer was amazing, it accommodated about 4 med size serving trays of lumpias that turbo freezes in two hours. Great capacity , fast freezing and the thermostat control switches back to normal freezing when the required temp is reached. What an energg savor it is! The look is so great with modern design. Tray racks are wonderful additions. We are happy with our purchase. It served our purpose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by RJACQUEZ from Great looks, size and performance [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everything is great except for the design: no bottom basket (the one I was shown had one), not enough shelves for that size, shelves long enough but not wide enough, so having to stock pile the food items; the one the salesman showed me, identical to that one according to him had all of that, other than that everything else is great so far. I was going to return it, but it was too much work. I like Whirlpool appliances and their excellent customer service and it is not their fault. I will need a new refrigerator, but I will make sure I look at the one I want, not a similar one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Merz from Quiet and cold! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love how quiet this freezer is! Sometimes I wonder if itʻs even running because itʻs so quiet. The lighting is great, nice and bright. Love the freeze fast mode, especially when we first got it and needed it to keep our items frozen fast. One con is the amount of shelves and the lack of a basket for the very bottom. Everything is piled on top of each other and I canʻt access it as easy as my old freezer. It also seems like there should be one more wire rack included with this model. Thereʻs too much space in between some of the racks, even when positioned carefully.

We love the compact size (compared to other freezers) but also love the ample interior storage. I still haven't filled it completely and love that we can once again buy in bulk! The light on the inside is bright, helping you see what's inside. It runs quietly too! I would have like for there to be a pull out basket on the bottom for containing small things like bags of cheese and such, but I haven't given it much more though since it was delivered and we started using it.

Main reason for purchase is for my son (4 yr old) is going to have a heart transplant and I need it to keep some food stocked in the house. Needless to say, the freezer stopped keeping my food frozen & had to throw away at lease $250 worth of groceries, from ice cream to frozen home made dishes. It has been over 1 week since I called to have my freezer checked out. Come to find out, it will be at least 2-3 more weeks (after the freezer is picked up) to be fixed Beyond frustrated that all my back-up food had to be thrown out and will be without my freezer for at least another 2-3 weeks. Was told that the company would not replace freezer but 'hopefully' the freezer could be fixed. So upset with a very SICK kiddo :-(

Rated 1 out of 5 by JudyS from DON'T BUY!!! I would give this freezer -10 if possible. Bought the 14.4 cubic foot 6 weeks ago. I had a whole beef coming and need another freezer. 6 weeks, 6 weeks and it has stopped cooling. Everything defrosted!!!! I caught it soon enough to cook it up and save some of it, but it was already past refreezing. Waiting on the tech to come as I clean up a slaughter house looking freezer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace my old chest freezer that was so big that I couldn't even reach the bottom. It finally quit working after over 50 years of service, so I wanted an upright freezer that I could reach inside and access all of my frozen food. This is so much easier to clean, and to keep track of what I have stored inside. It fits my needs perfectly! Is quiet, and although I thought I wanted a manual defrost, I am very happy with the frost free. Never thought I would get so excited about owning a Whirlpool upright freezer!!

Although it looked smaller it's capacity was just the same as my broken older model. This freezer didn't have the huge motor in the bottom of the frame as my current one did. I live in an older house w/ 27" door frames and this fit though perfectly through (I had to remove the freezer door which was very easy) and it was lighter too. I felt lucky to find this right away because I was able to save most of my frozen food. It freezes beautifully . . . I absolutely love this freezer.
