Rated 1 out of 5 by sihi from not up to whirlpool quality bought a year ago....bottom drawer is flimsy.. oven takes forever to heat ...and today the door hinge broke on one side...its literally handing off on one side. I only use the oven about once a week and would have expected hinges to last longer than a year. I always bought whirlpool..this oven is no up to what I consider whirlpool quality....broke on weekend too so have to wait to phone to have someone out to repair...with door not on properly , light was on so I've had to unplug the whole thing. hopefully whirlpool can send someone out quickly to fix this...it is dangerous with the door hanging off and cant be used for cooking.

The glass top is extremely difficult to keep clean and the hinges on the door have broken. I had my previous oven for 14 years and I never had a problem with the hinges on the door. I requested service from Whirlpool and the service provider that was sent was extremely rude. He spent more time insinuating that we hadn’t properly used the oven. How do you improperly open and close an oven door? The experience with the service provider was horrible, although my appliance is still under Whirlpool’s warranty. Being in the middle of a pandemic with not being able to use my oven is horrible.

According to serviceman, connecting block was never properly tightened when assembled. Called Whirlpool warranty and waited over a week to get service tech, then another 16 days for service company to get part, at which time Whirlpool shipped harness for dishwasher, not range, even though box had correct part number. Waited another week to get correct part shipped and installed. Very displeased with warranty service by Whirlpool. Also oven seems to take excessively long to preheat to 400 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

I'm surprise at how good it cooks but it did take me awhile to get used to cooking on it. I would have to say that I don't burn things like I used too! Even though the top is black, it's easy to clean but it does show dust. Glad I purchase this one. No problems with smoke as stated in previous posts. Common sense tells you that it's called a burn out. Open your windows & you want noticed the smell or smoke. Also, like my new range hood. Was going to put over the stove microwave but I'm glad that I decided against it.

It seems to be working quite well. I am not happy with the sound level, I have to be in the kitchen to hear it. It is not very loud! I had someone from the place I bought it from come to check it out, I thought there might be a control to make it louder. There is not, so I will need to live with it. That is he reason for not being able to recommend this to a friend. I am sure you have had customers with the same response. If I were you I would add a control where you could pick your sound level.

The one thing I would change would be the dials for two front burners on the top of the range. I would love to have more heat selection indicators on those two dials. It's hard to know exactly what setting to, for example: cook my eggs or pancakes at. I have to guess somewhere between lo and medium every time. There are no clear indicators for setting the exact temp. of heat on the two dials for the two front burners. That's a real shame. Wish I had spotted that feature shortcoming before I purchased the oven. Since I do a lot of range top cooking. Other than that, it's a great oven!

My baking has never been more fun and DELICIOUS. My cookies have a much nicer browning on them then before and the bottoms are not overly brown. so, my ratings are based on what i know now. My cooktop is beautiful and I'm still getting used to the burners' knobs as they are a little different than the ones i have used in the past. adjusting the temp is what im working on... i especially like the sound of timer when it goes off.

Our prior range was over 20 years old, so we feel spoiled with all the expandable burners, the warming zone, and the great features of the oven. I love that the oven offers a keep warm temp option. It preheats very quickly for us and looks so great with our other stainless appliances. The timer/alerts are much quieter than our former range, so that’d be the one thing I wish I could adjust. After a few practice uses, we aquatinted ourselves with the new features and functions and have been so happy.
