Fridge Freezing Food
Bought July 2017 and in Dec. 2018 the fridge starting freezing food. Per my tech this is happening to other fridges but Whirlpool has not published a bulletin on how to fix the issue. My tech replaced the refrigerator diffuse & thermistor sensor. This fixed the fridge from freezing but then the freezer will no longer freeze ice cream & popsicles. Buying a new fridge this weekend as I've already spent over a 1/3 of what the frig cost on repairs. This fridge has been around for decades and use to be very reliable. Since it is trial & error to determine the repair, it is costly and I would not recommend purchasing model WRT519SZDM.

The overall capacity and looks are great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our previous Kenmore ref. was 23 yrs old be for it died. It ran so quiet always. This new whirlpool whines,moans and carries on something terrible. When we have company it is embarrassing how loud it is. When they hear it they say (it sounds like your ref. is going out) and we tell them,no it's brand new and they want to know what brand it is and where we bought it. We have never been so disappointed with anything we have ever purchased in our lives and are embarrass to even have it in our home. In this day and age of modern technology NO ref. should make noise and carry on like this one does. We are very unhappy and disappointed with it.

Skip this refrigerator
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to purchase a refrigerator. Needed this size quickly. Should have waited. Some things in the back freeze and items in the front don't seem cold enough. Freezer door storage area a joke. Things drop threw all the time. I haven't really figured out what that door storage area was designed for, super large cans of something that you freeze? Installation horrible or design I don't know, freezer door on crooked, looks horrible. Kept this since last fridge went out before thanksgiving, but will get rid of this asap. Never buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the past, I used to used many Whirlpools products and I never have problem with them. Roughly 6 month ago, I also bought again the Frig. Now I have problems and contact for the support to fix the Frig. I think they deliver the Lemon Product. when I call for support and lost receipt. Now they try to charge me for coming out to take a look at the Frig. I cannot believed it. What kind support is it? Now I will not buy anymore Whirlpool products. Be careful to buy the appliances from Whirlpool, we do not know how the customer service is until we have the problems with the products.!!!

Worst appliance purchase ever.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worst appliance purchase ever. Louder than my 24 year old refrigerator ever was. It knocks, taps, pings, rattles when running, then continues to make whooshing noises after the compressor stops. Can hear it running when in the living room, which is very annoying. The "recommended" temperature setting only keeps the refrigerator section at 42 degrees. Too warm! Set it to one setting colder, and it freezes items in the refrigerator section. Too cold! Will not consider any other Whirlpool products at this point, and I still have a 24 year old dishwasher and stove to replce.

Refrigerator section is great, freezer shelves not so great.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator has some really nice features, like the sliding drawer and the positioning of the shelving on the refrigerator door. But…I feel compelled to inform you of what I absolutely do not like. I feel the shelves with the brackets on the freezer door have an impracticable design. The shelves do not come out to the brackets like they do on the refrigerator part of the door, they are TOO SHORT. You can only put food with wide bags/boxes on these shelves. Anything that is narrow in width falls through. Had I of realized this prior to my purchase, I would of not purchased this refrigerator

Test your door
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this for one month and regret the purchase. The freezer door will bounce back open of swung shut so you have to close it gingerly like it is a 100 year old classic car door. My teen swung it closed last night and it popped back open. Since there is NO FREEZER LIGHT we didn't notice and the door was open for 8 hours and everything soft, a lot of items we will thru in the fridge to made weird meals with so it doesnt go to waste . Not sure it it is a lemon from a usually good company or if the nimrods who put the door on did it wrong.

Reason for my future choices
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] our refrigerator of 37 years died and we replaced it with a well known brand. It works well but is noisy. It is in our kitchen and we can hear it in several adjoining rooms. About one month later of refrigerator of 50 plus years in our garage plus years died. We replaced it with a Whirlpool It works like a charm and it so quiet. Who but us would be faced with purchases of two refrigerators within a 30 day time frame. Both units were purchased because of size requirements. When we purchase any appliances in the future we will certainly check out Whirlpool brand first.
