However, I am a little disappointed that after only 4 months that we've already needed a new condenser fan on the ice maker and the seal on the freezer drawer was not sealing properly and needed to be adjusted. I know these items are covered under warranty and that hiccups occur, but I feel a better quality control process could have eliminated these issues. Overall I love my refrigerator and can look past these issues provided they don't snowball, especially when the warranty expires. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from Design flaw We have had this fridge for a little more than a year. Soon after we started using it we noticed the water/ice dispenser leaking water. We called for a repair and they replaced a part but it didn't fix the problem so we called again. The repair man looked at it but couldn't find the problem so he called Whirlpool and they said it was user error, that we had the door open too long so the ice was melting and leaking. I can assure you this is not true as the most water leaks in the morning when it hasn't been opened all night. But they said there's nothing they can do and we can no longer call for that problem anymore. My husband and I are convinced it is a design flaw, that's what happens when you store ice in the fridge and not the freezer.

Really like all the space it has. Like being able to adjust the door shelves, many of the refrigerators have stationary door shelves. Like the separate doors to organize deli and vegetables, a lot more room for fresh vegetables. Freezer with two drawers rather than three is great for storage of home made soups that I store in ball canning jars. Able to organize lower freezer drawer between meat and seafood. Rated 2 out of 5 by Refrigerator Girl from Great storage, Poor water/icemaker I'm very pleased with the storage and the quiet close double drawers with easy access and still lots of room in the main refrigerator. However, the water dispenser drips more than any refrigerator I've ever had, and the icemaker stopped working within 4 days. Whirlpool sent the appliance repairman and he knew exactly what was wrong before he looked at the refrigerator because he said he has replaced many other of the same icemaker units so he ordered the parts and replaced the whole icemaker unit, and now the icemaker unit has a loud fan in it that runs continuously. The new icemaker has not produced ice, so he is coming back again to assess the problems. Very disappointed with the water/icemaker.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Butchel from almost a great fridge my wife & i use a lot of ice i guess b c it can't keep up even in "fast ice" mode drawers for produce too small. running our RO water to ice maker. water valve started making noise a week or two in. Had warranty person come out & look at it & they claimed the RO lowered the incoming pressure causing the noisy valve so i upped the pressure & it screwed up my RO system. can't win!!! Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed in Quality from Poor Quality We bought this refrigerator on 4/30/2017 to replace the fridge (different brand) that was original to the kitchen in our house which was about 12 years old and the water in the door stopped working. I have purchased Whirlpool products in the past 5 to 10 years (2 washing machines, two refrigerators including this one, and one dishwasher), and have had good experiences with them, but this particular model is a beautiful piece of junk. We entertain a lot, so the dual ice makers were a big selling point for us, and up until about a month ago, which just so happened to be a couple months out of the warranty period, the bottom freezer stopped cooling properly, so that ice maker won't work. The fridge still cools, but not enough. The unit makes so much noise I had to unplug because you could literally hear it throughout the entire house. Of course when I plugged it back in the day before the tech came out, it worked fine until yesterday when it started doing the same thing again. Beyond this, the first time it stopped working the ice dispenser would give you crushed ice when cubed was selected and vice versa, and this time a week or so before it stopped cooling, the lights quit working in the fridge portion, and the ice and water dispenser goes to auto fill every time. I'm fully expecting the repair service to quote me $1,000 or more to repair it, as I assume they will tell me it is the "mother board" you hear about all the time. I have a four year old Frigidaire at the bar in our basement that has given us absolutely no trouble. I will likely switch to Frigidaire for this unit too based on the performance issues when considering the price.

Only complaint we have is within 24 hours of receiving the refrigerator, we have a rather large scratch in the door. One of the reasons we bought this was because we have kids and like to hang things on the refrigerator. My husband hung a birthday card with a magnet that slid down a few inches, and the magnet caused the scratch. Just be careful what you place on the front. Only flat, vinyl magnets for us here on out.
